Blowfin, you really need to step back from the forums for a while. In this thread alone you've shown some need to have the last word/win the argument. no they want the same quality equipment on another Raid the same difficulty as coil. is all about horizontal"ness" and variety. imagine if an 8 men Crystal tower version and coil were released simultaneously and they both drop the highest ilvl items , and both would be as hard. people would have more variety of content and gear ( 1 set for each dungeon + tome set ) i really dont know where people are reading that the op is asking for high gear on easy content.

no they want the same quality equipment on another Raid the same difficulty as coil. is all about horizontal"ness" and variety. imagine if an 8 men Crystal tower version and coil were released simultaneously and they both drop the highest ilvl items , and both would be as hard. people would have more variety of content and gear ( 1 set for each dungeon + tome set ) i really dont know where people are reading that the op is asking for high gear on easy content.

My reply was to the argument that was going on. And people that talked about wanting coil gear available to people so they could handle coil. That is wanting same quality gear for easier content.

If I'm understanding your question correctly. Are you proposing some magical way to make everyone identical in skill? I'd be happy to clone myself another 5 times and find 2 healers to do second coil of bahamut.

That's my whole point. I'm part of the group that was in top 5 of downing T9, but that doesn't make me any better than anyone else playing this game. Are there bard's better than me? Absolutely, and I'll be the first to admit it. Do I think the best gear HAS to be from Coil? That's debatable. If you want to have vanity items, mounts, etc. to display your accomplishments, then go for it. Maybe a good compromise is to have something only awarded when you down the content before it's nerfed. That way, you can still stand out, but there are paths to getting the equivalent gear.

That would be a good idea. I once heard someone suggest that but then all the filthy casuals were all whining and saying you're not special for clearing coil before nerf and that no one cares and blah blah blah. So that's why I'm on the forums here. I'm here to complain just like those clowns.
