Classy bump.

Classy bump.
Silver sharks and Hammer heads.. Go fish those if you want gil. theyre goin for 2-4k a pop on some servers.
This is the right idea.
Let me become a famous Chef, make infamous foods to boost my stats, healing and MP boosts.
What use is fishing if you cant use the fish!!

Been 2 days, bump.

Please please please...give fish a use. I don't care what it is, as long as its something!

It sucks that fishing isn't anywhere near as useful as it was in 1.0. I liked fishing, even if I didn't do it too much, but it needs to have more useful to go along with the fun it is in 2.0!

Wait, I'm casting a seriously hard necromantic spell.
Hnnng.
Hng.
Aw man, I give up. Just looking for more opinions.

It took me a distressingly long time to realise that this thread was, in fact, not modern.
I know they've done some stuff to make fishing a bit more interesting, but yes, I am always in favour of more relevance of fishing to other classes. Botanist and Miners are involved in huge amounts of the crafting disciplines, but Fishing is just sorta... like, of the highest level culinarian recipies, exactly one ingrediant across the four top-tier dishes is fished. One discipline, one ingrediant.
:/

How about a pond for the yard of FC houses? Similar to the garden, the pond would come in various sizes and we would populate it with fish. The fish would have to be fed once in a while, otherwise they would die and have to replaced! If we cant get fish as a material for cooking or potion making a different use would be that player homes could have an aquarium and you could sell the fish you catch to players so they can fill them. You could make it so that each fish you put in the aquarium acts as another actual fish. so you could put 5 carp and 1 clam and it would actually show. HQ fish would be bigger and you could even get different size tanks that could hold more or bigger fish.
In addition to small aquariums, this would make fishing quite popular I'm sure.
LOL cash shop! SE's way to tell their player how they appreciate them... pull the carrot and empty your pockets $$$
And to those who support it: you are kicking yourselves. -- We just need to sit back and laugh at people with cash shop items.
(Marvelous economics IQ test!)
How about a reason for big fish to exist? Other than just to add an extra questline to the game that goes nowhere and ultimately has no real reward? How about accessories that don't boost a completely useless stat? How about a way to carry all these dozens of baits around without taking up almost half my entire inventory?
How about if the devs put a little more effort into the class?
