atma farming??? seriously?

am i really paying to stick around like an idiot in your virtual world for several hours hoping to find an atma piece? please i think that create something interesting and not boring is not so difficult. u could put these atma pieces in new dungeons or bosses. Really this choice to give the pieces randomly must be changed.

What amazes me most of the above 2 comments, is how did they ever trained you guys to accept a system obviously designed to artificially prolong a small amount of content just to make more money out of you, and (I assume) enjoy it.

And further more, defending this system?

Nothing to defend they can create only so fast. if there were no artificial barriers we whip through it and log off for having nothing to work towards. Sub MMO have no perfect solution but they tend to be the best social MMO experiences overall.

so many atma threads, maybe a animus weapon is not for you guys, once you aquire all 12 atmas you then need to farm 13,500 myth to fully progress it
maybe try a t5 weapon or a t9 weapon or a leviathan weapon or a soldiery weapon?

I remember Dynamis grinding in FFXI to be much more interesting than this Atma charade....


I understand that SE implemented the system to make FATEs (temporarily) more interesting, yet it doesnt change the fact that its boring as hell. SE has made quite some money the last few months with all the new subcribers, why not come up with some real "new" and well thought through content?
(not to mention the "new" Extreme or Hard Mode dungeons which are just a renewal of old content)

I "handled" this part and already have my animus. Doesnt change a thing: The whole quests looks CHEAP to me

Though I dislike the "grind" of atma farming, I honestly understand what they attempted to achieve. Comments above for the most part have already covered the perks that Atma farming has created. Locations that lacked player participation in fates are now filled with players and will continue to be populated for months to come. However, I have spent approx. 2 hours each evening attempting to obtain my Atma pieces since the release of the patch. Sadly, I only have five to date. That is two hours a day for several weeks. I haven't read the previous atma threads and do not intend too, there are just too many. Therefor I apologize if this has already been suggested. With the newest patch around the corner, perhaps more Glamour Level 1 Gear could be introduced into the game. I believe by introducing these items as drops in these fates, it would make the "grind" of Atma farming just a little sweeter.

If we change the drop rates, or randomness of the Atma's now, those players who accomplished the task will naturally be upset after all, we know how difficult it is now. I know players (roommate included) that farmed for 18 hours (nearly non-stop) for their last piece.

Such items in which I speak of should be in the form of new Materials which a Craft-Class could use to create new Level 1 gear similar to the Sailor, Spring, or Highland outfits. These Materials should drop at a slightly higher frequency in comparison to the the Atma Pieces however still based on a Random drop rate. Having various items and various item drop rates would also be wise. So that in order to obtain one Atma, it would be rewarding to obtain some materials to make Dragon Moccasins, Or a Desert Poncho. Just a thought...
