Vote Kick abuse really needs to end.

Sorry, read the reasons SE endorses for vote kicking. You will find you have no grounds to kick them for watching the cut scenes. That is just the pure and simple truth of it. I can see now no one will be able to convince you of your wrong behavior no matter what is said you will simply ignore it for your own sake.

Watching the cut scenes is not and never will be harassment. I'm sorry you feel that way. Which I think it was it has boiled down to, you don't want to be wrong. It isn't harassment and it bugs you. I am sorry, but life is about accepting things and in this case you need to accept that watching the cut scenes is not harassment, no matter how much you wish it was. Thank you for you best wishes. Life for me is pretty grand atm and I don't see that changing. But your warm thoughts are appreciated. See, I knew you had a positive personality in there somewhere!

Learned that a few pages ago lol. And for the record here are the reasons vote kick is supposed to be used for:

AFK - For people who queue and then leave the keyboard, expecting to be carried. They physically are no longer at their computers.
Harassment - They are being rude aka, insulting people, making real life threats, or griefing by pulling more stuff than the group can reasonably handle with the intent of killing the group
Offline - They've disconnected and has been some time since they disconnected. Usually this could be caused by loss of power on their end, and no reason to keep someone who could be gone for hours.
Cheating - Someone who is clearly exploiting a bug or using hacks.

Those are the only reasons to vote kick. Watching a cut scene does not fall under any of them categories, because they are a feature of the game, they start automatically, and skipping right now, is optional. The best fix for this is to make the cut scenes in CM and Prae unskippable.

Sorry, but you are just incorrect on pretty much all fronts. None of it bugs me. The fact of the matter is when there 8 people in a grp, and 7 of them vote to kick someone for holding up the group, it's 100% legit. People can talk all they want how those 7 people are going to get banned yadda yadda yadda, but at the end of the day those 7 people are going to go on with their dungeon, and that one person is (hopefully) going to learn that they are no more special than anyone else, and when placed in a random grp with randoms, it's best to go along with the group and not expect everyone else to accommodate you.

Seeing as they would be reporting an abuse of the vote kick feature, that is so far from unlikely as to be impossible. Sorry But the kicked player wouldn't be in trouble for anything.

I've been playing FFXIV for about 2 months, my first MMO EVER. I've had me a time with tanking. To be honest, I didn't even know what tanking was until I was about level 30 LOL. There is still a lot I don't know, but kicking someone for not being geared to (your) standard, not running fast enough, and watching cutscenes is all ABUSE and neither of the 3 things I mentioned are anywhere near harrassment. I've been kicked for not locking out mob on BrayHM first boss... That's BS!

You, VesperVeleveeta ought to be dropped like a bag of bricks by SE because people like you are who keep people like me uninterested in their product and if you are the sort of player that is going to represent SE in the higher levels, I'd much rather not push their product any longer. One of the first things I told my kids and my brother about before bringing them into this game was about the trash that you seem to be proud to be a part of. They ought to make a server just for players like you.
