Darklight drop rates/locations.

I'm trying to re-farm the darklight dragoon set for glamour purposes and the randomness of it is really frustrating :<. It's got alot of potential now that they enabled the gear to be dyed. And the colour pallette is fantastic, metallics C:. I just wish it wasn't so diffucult to re-obtain. Honestly, with the amount of dungeons I've run since 2.2, I probably could have bought several sets of it if it was still on a tome system. There was a rumour that a friend of mine clued me onto about what someone translated from those many japanese interviews that SE doesnt want us to read that they may be looking into darklight drop rates or ease of obtainability. I don't care really, stick it on the calamity salvager if you have a job at 50, charge like 30k/piece, something. That would be better than spamming these new dungeons ad nauseum to get what amounts to vanity. Or waiting for your retainer to bring it for you :<.

I cant find it on the Lodestone but the Libra lists only the 3 new dungeons for it. No info on the drop rate but at least there is either a Darklight or 1 of the green 70s for sure.

Unfortunately the only chest with guaranteed i70 pieces are the accessory coffers. All boss chests can potentially be seal mats. With the rather wide selection between all the mats, darklight sets, and then the new i70 sets, it can be annoying trying to get specific pieces.

I understand why they did it though; just another layer of "incentive to keep trying". It isn't too bad for higher level players, really.

However, I feel bad for new players and/or others who didn't reach 50 prior to the shift. Chances of getting a complete i70 set is a bit low; they likely will earn tomes to buy myth gear before completing i70 sets.

I just dont get why they eliminated philos. A couple of friends just recently got to lvl 50 and they are having a hard time gearing up ilvl 70-80 due to the HUGE item pool of the dungeons that drop i70.

Maybe so people will collect the 55-60 sets?

i dont really see the problem with running some of the lower dungeons to get philosophy or ct to get a mix of ilvl90/80 for a new player.

I did wanderer's palace for darklight now people can do it for hero's think they got the better end of the deal tbh.

and for op - your fault for throwing it away. I kept mine and so did a lot of people. Now when i do brayflox runs i just greed on stuff for my upcoming alt.
