    It assume it was once in the Game (no 1.0 player here) because you can even see it in the description of items that a Materia Grade V is needed. But it isn't lol. Guess not anymore and just an artifact from the past. Why they gave us Grade V in 2.1 is something I always wondered about. I thought they introduce something where you would actually need it but so far, nope.

    No grade 5 materia during 1.0

    i guess since they finally added i90 gear you can put materia in i was just curious if it was planned for anytime soon.

    Ah ok, didn't know, thanks for clarifacation. So it is pretty much the same as with the free company ranks you can already see that serve no purpouse (yet).
