    Fear my fist!

    lol. I would like to see this now.

    Auto-attack will be implemented for Disciples of War and Magic only, and will take the form of a melee attack for all applicable classes. For instance, archers will strike with their bare fists,
    I wonder if we have a dagger option or just attack with fist. Bum-rush anymore?

    Nah when the archers get sick and tired of using their fists they will bust out their bow and start smacking the s*** out of the mobs.

    I'm pretty much the most pessimistic, low-expectation Negative Nancy ever and even I expected something better than just a punch. Bow whack, arrow stab, random knife, something.

    Maybe it'll look really cool. Maybe.

    maybe it was a typo? Bows are 2h so not sure how we could punch. Well, I guess could use string hand while holding bow with the other. Idk... sounds weird to me. Perhaps they too lazy to implement secondary weapon :/

    Lets say it does end up being the fist, what would determine the damage? Our hand armor?

    I feel they should stop trying so hard not to be like XI, or any other MMO for that matter, and just let Archers equip daggers as offhand.

    Well bows are only two handed when you are actually pulling the string, you can easily hold a bow with one hand.

    But I think the point is that archers arent supposed to be in melee range anyway so its only gonna happen when you are about to be in trouble, like OMG A MOB, *bops on the nose*

    This is a good point. lol. We will do the same dmg as rock throw /rawr. But we have to wait and see. Im looking forward to patch 1.18

    ARCs and casters are still intended to stay at range and use their ranged attacks, so this isn't really a big deal. Rather than worry about a relatively meaningless melee attack, I think we should be more concerned with them coming up with a way to have ranged auto-attack. You'll just have to settle with doing your attacks manually for now. However, I'm sure it won't be any worse than the current system, and ARCs have it good now so it's hard to complain too much.

    It won't make a lick of logical sense, but the punch strength will probably still be determined by bow stats. Just minus the arrow perhaps.
    If it's as simple as [damage = base + weapon(+ammo) +/- (randomness modifier)] at least. Makes sense on a programming level. I think?

    Yup, Guess the auto attack more of a solo situation. Im not worry about it or anything, I though it was funny to read about it.
