You have to realize that this dps number is from 100 spell rotation with perfect RNG to account for CRIT % and no interruption. SSPD benefits from being able to get an extra cast (equates to 2x crit), but that would require that you can get the spell off in the time frame in which you couldn't do (dodging) if you were to go with CRIT. Another beneficial scenario is that you are able to consecutively cast x numbers of spell when 100% cast interruption is taken into account. It's a bit complicated but you can't go wrong with either given the current itemization.

I apologize if this has already been covered, but there are far to many pages to read them all for such a small note.

Wouldn't the Evenstar Cloak be BiS PERIOD as when eating Apkallu Omelettes you need a certain crit threshold to get the most out of it (Around 534-535) and the set with the High Allagan cloak does not reach this however with the Evenstar chest you do. That's a solid few points of crit there.

Also I saw that while the Evenstar Cloak does have more theoretical int to compensate for this it isn't really noted. Sure the bonus might not be big, but its still "better"

All of food benefits and calculations are included in the comparison chart.

Basically, if you have < 149 added crit (490 total), then you can just use Deviled egg to get +24 CRIT (Unless you want more VIT from Apkallu).

For Apkallu Omelete scaling:

From 490 - 509 (+168 Added Crit) = +25 Crit

From 510 - 529 (+188 Added Crit) = +26 Crit

and 530 (+189 Added Crit) = +27 Crit

I believe there is one set with High Allagan Coat that is able to reach 190+ Crit for max crit benefit from Apkallu Omelete, but we're talking 1-3 points here (+0.22% crit). Depending on the level of OCD you have, you might find that difference earth-shattering.

Again, the comparison table has included these in the calculations.

The +29 Crit will appeal to most people, but sands of time is definitely the limiting factor here.

I'm curious, are these values assuming the SCH is using Selene? Don't use Eos for much of anything anymore and since Fey Glow is a percentage buff to spell speed I guess the more you have the more it's worth.

Selene buff is not taken into account.

Basically, it roughly makes SSPD point double its worth.

At 2.36 GCD (+140 SSPD) with selene buff, it will only take 1.90 points to equal 1 INT instead of 3.872 or 1 SSpd = 0.526 INT.

I should probably mention this in Sspd vs Crit discussion a while back, but doubling SSPD's worth every 30 seconds pretty much blew Crit out of the water, theoretically speaking.

I'll have some graphs up by the end of next week for better comparisons.

I wouldn't wish BLM on any group in T9 in its current state. Pushing one wyvern with 2 SMNs is no problem. Bring on the 2.3 buffs!

@Puro, any reason for -not- factoring weapon damage into the theoretical int/gear page?

Could I ask you why BLM isn't good for T9? We've only set foot in there once so I'm not entirely sure what kind of challenge awaits for us BLM.
