This is actually been known to be false. SE was already building ARR before they even asked us for Money.

I call bs. How could they know the game would be a flop even before 1.0 CE early access and I started my billing cycle then. It wasn't unil January of 2011 that FFXIV became free for a time.

False. A medium house on Sargatanas is 16-18 million. A medium house on Jenova is about 7 million. I can get screen shots if necessary. They even said the prices would be different from legacy to nonlegacy. Legacy servers were for 1.0 players. 1.0 players had an influx of in game currency.
