I am currently on Sargatanas. I transferred from Balmung to Sarg in Beta 3 of ARR. I am a legacy character, but getting real tired of how the general legacy status player base and their nonlegacy friends act. I am tired of insane prices for everything, and no one with patience to practice to win and run no more then two wins or quitting after one wipe but not before complaining and raging.
I am not looking for a free company. I don't tend to fit in well with people. I still have plan of creating my own, close-knit, dependable, trustworthy, friendly, and honorable group and have a kick ass house/mansion.
I am just curious if anyone has some reliable input on their end game content community. I planned to go to Jenova to play with a coworker, but I'm not sure when transfers will open up, and after creating an alt and looking at the market boards alone, the server is very bare.

Sadly it doesnt matter where you go server wise, just join on the server your friends are on. You will run into the type of people you describe whenever you use Duty Finder or even Party Finder. Its the sad state of being level 50 I think.

u should just try to find ppl on ur own server for the close-knit FC.
there's no way out as there is bad apples no matter where you go

You all miss my second point, I hate legacy server housing prices and the douche bags that can afford 15million or more easily. When my fc was going and almost rank 8, I asked and almost begged for people to put their gil in the bank to help cover housing. Myself and my good friend Dexter put just about all of our gil and we were nowhere close to medium house price but when we were just a few million away all the housing was purchased but large and a few small.
No one on LEGACY servers listen to reason. Everyone thinks they know it all. I suppose their Webster definition lists legacy as a player who is far above reproach, reason, kind-hearted gestures, and requires no advice or tips of how to play.
If it wasn't for players like me who stuck out the atrocity that was 1.0, all these new 2.0 nimrods wouldn't have a game. I just don't know what happened to all the hardcore run until our fingers bleed players went. Maybe they didn't escape Dalamud in time?

This is actually been known to be false. SE was already building ARR before they even asked us for Money.

I call bs. How could they know the game would be a flop even before 1.0 CE early access and I started my billing cycle then. It wasn't unil January of 2011 that FFXIV became free for a time.

False. A medium house on Sargatanas is 16-18 million. A medium house on Jenova is about 7 million. I can get screen shots if necessary. They even said the prices would be different from legacy to nonlegacy. Legacy servers were for 1.0 players. 1.0 players had an influx of in game currency.

Call BS all you want. I was there for EA in 1.0 as well, after the free month they NEVER charged anyone. Not until 2012 did anyone ever have to pay besides the original game. I had bought enough Crysta in that first month for 6 months of sub time at the rates given then, and it sat there unused until 2012.

Just because you started a billing cycle(I did too you know) doesn't mean they actually CHARGED you anything.

I played 1.0 as well, and yeah, I was never charged beyond the original game, I had 5k crysta still on my account from when I loaded my account up to pay for the 1.0 billing fees when I picked up ARR.

Also, most servers are on the same pricing point for housing, if the new servers are costing less for housing, it's probably due to them having much newer economies, since people have had less time to build up gil compared to the older ones.
