I would glamour the Alchemist monocle onto every piece of head gear I have. I call it my Borg eye.

Why not take it all the way? Make ALL non-weapon equipment wearable by all classes, but optimized for certain classes/jobs. That'd fix everything, forever, for all time.
And all other class-specific gear....
You can't need on gear unless you're the class/job it's specified for so... Non-issue.

I wouldn't mind if this happened. The Botanist gear, to me, would make a decent BRD glamour.

The weaver outfit is so stylish, I would never wear anything else if this were possible...
I also think it's somewhat silly you can't glamour at least your botanist hatchet and miner's pick-ax on to other weapons. The blue weapons for the those classes look far more fierce than like... 90% of Paladin weapons in this game.

I wanna wield my carpenter saw in battle lol XD

WHM/SCH could use the power of almighty bacon to heal your party.
Also...Demopan anyone?http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Frying_Pan
I vote against this. I already think the Glamour system is too open as it is. I don't like seeing Tanks wearing bikinis and light armor and I don't like seeing stupid sunglasses and reading glasses on anyone except Scholars.
Let's keep some uniqueness among different jobs, please.
As long as the weapon isn't affected then I don't see a problem with this. Casters get really boring gear lower/mid levels so it would be nice to include more things to customize the look.
I guess that Scholars are the only ones to get bad eyesight in Eorzea, lucky for them they have the talent to create sunglasses to protect their weak eyes from the harmful solar rays.

Yes, they are, because they spend all their time reading all those books instead of doing other activities.
