After finishing "The Ultimate Weapon" (2.0 last MSQ), go to the Waking Sands, speak to Urianger and accept "A recurring problem". After that, you should get the "Ifrit Bleeds, We Can Kill It" quest, which will have you attune to an Aetheryte in Southern Thanalan to unlock the trial in DF
