    Actually, everyone keeps talking about strategy and co-op being necessary for these, but I can't find any strategies for actually tackling one of these that aren't Absolute Virtue (and lol at that), other than "can be solo'd by x class using y" and literally nothing else. Someone can take one of these and give a memorable example of a strategy needed to defeat one? I'd load a video, but I'm pretty sure I would either get a challenge/solo video, or one that makes the entire encounter look trivial.
    You would have too look for vids that are 3+ years old. And are not made by a RDM with mad skills named Avesta.. I think it was his name.

    As for strategy... Well of the top of my head. You had Suzaku that used chainspell + Firaga III. So in olden times it was handled by shadowbinding and having everyone running away. No one could hit after shadowbind was on it, because that would break it. Although, it could be handled with a RDM chainspell + stun.

    A lot of the cooperation also came in setting up Light and Dark skill chains that the BLMs could then Magic Burst on. It went out of fashion though after they added all the haste gear.

    Just because FFXI is dead doesn't mean there are lessons learnt from it that are worth incorporating, I by no means advocate FFXI-2 because I didn't like many parts of it, but it did have an amazing immersive world that kept a stable population happy for many years. Why can't we have the same challenging open world aspects of it, updated for 2014 MMO standards (fast travel/low death penalty/skill based) and have it co-exist with the current themepark MMO? I'm sure we can find a compromise that makes sense and keeps both sides happy enough.

    Ah, Litre, I knew there was a reason I liked you. I agree with this 100%. Also, the Paths in Wildstar are amazing. Been playing the Beta, and little stuff like that is pretty awesome. I also like the fact that not only are they all completely different, but you can help out with the Soldier ones, for example. Also, the cost of on-site raises is stiff if someone doesn't rezz you, lol.
