And there's going to be death, destruction and reform -- I hope the atmosphere also changes to something like Gusgen from XI. Those that don't know there's a zone where a lot of people died and you can still see their ghosts wandering and they fade out when you get near.

Something to show that a tragic event happened ya know? Especially if you're redoing maps you can add into lore that the Nanawa Mines trapped a ton of miners and now there's a lot of NM ghosts or random ghostly images lingering continuing to mine..just...something to show the lore is actual present in game.

I don't want to see the world go all doom and gloomy, but adding areas with a menacing atmosphere would be nice. Especially in the Black Shroud - there's nothing really dark or foreboding there like there should be.

That's really true for all the zones, actually - there's barely any change in ambience throughout a given region.

I think it would be funny if you logged in after the Update had happened and got treated to a CS where you started back at the beginning and everything that had happened to you so far had been some kind of Future Echo but yet you had managed to keep all your stuff and ranks but the world was different and not how it was in your dream. Actually the more I think about it the more I like that idea, you could start to try and unravel what it all meant and why things are not how they were in your dream and more importantly what the hell is going on.

Anyways, I'd prefer if afterwards, you skip ahead a ton of years to the future (STEAMPUNK PLEASE) where everything is very different. Your job is to figure out what the hell happened since the Garleans were not the cause of Eorzea's destruction. Also Ala Mhigo is rebuilt.

From what I understand the Echo is for the past, it could always be a past echo showing us how the world came to what it is now.

Although it's highly unlikely they will do either, but I do expect some big changes, and I do hope we get some more eerie zones. The Black Shroud is nowhere near as forboding as I had imagined it, I want the greenwrath!
