I hope not. Resources should not be put into the now obsolete PS3. It's 2014. Move On.
Anyways, how about that Direct X 11 client!?

PS3 limitations

yes, I rather have excellent game play and everything just be a giant yellow brick in the game. Who needs immersive graphics?
Support for the ps3 adds so much interesting gameplay, it will be a shame when SE drops support for it.... oh wait...

No but ps3 user are a huge percentage of the playerbase and only a foolish company would drop support for most of it's customers. Im guessing you don't play handhelds since you know the graphics arent the greatest. You would play a game with great graphics but a one button mechanic that would be the best game every.

Its all speculation at this point.
What you have to remember is Square-Enix as a company will look at the financial side first. If they're still making a profit from PS3 accounts, it won't be going anywhere any time soon.
It would be like cutting your nose off to spite your own face.
You can complain as much as you like. But while they still make money from it they won't cut it. Simple.

We'll see what they'll do. At present, they're fine with supporting it, but I'd be careful about expecting support past maybe 18 months.
