    Scrolls were a horrible idea in FFXI... So you want to play this caster? Too bad, you have to pay 3 mil for this very important spell.

    NMs are fine and all, but no crap like HNMs. Who really likes sitting there for 4+ hours waiting for a mob to pop that will just be claimed by whoever has the best bot?

    Something I would really like to see in this game is an expansion of the materia system to be more like FF7's. I think they should add special materia slots to weapons that add new skills for each class/job/role(can be taken off without destroying the materia like in FF7). This would allow some form of customization among players and would certainly make the game a lot more interesting. Also, I think they should make non-instanced versions of the dungeons that have strong enemies(with rare drops), treasure coffers, and NMs, along with burning circles/beastman seal fights from FFXI.(similar to primals, but are made up of an enemy party you have to defeat. They drop a wide range of items, instead of 1 accessory/weapon for all jobs)

    Not quite, in FFXI you couldn't have your most basic spells if you didn't buy them(Cures, Raise, Sleep II, etc.), and knowing this, people would game the system and charge many millions of gil for spells like Raise III, and stuff.

    These skills would have to be skills that the players could live without, like perhaps a long CD off GCD attack, or something similar to the PVP skill that removes status ailments on long CD. Things that can be useful, but aren't needed.
