Yes, since you can rank up to the cap of lieutenant without the aid of a FC. Whether they add more of the ranks that are currently locked is the question.

I imagine the rings are genderlocked. If you use fantasia, you can't equip the ring anymore, not sure if that would automatically 'divorce' you or not though..

I cant see needing to wear the ring as viable, unless they add a 3rd "marriage ring" slot specifically for it.
