Community Team’s Live Show: DUTY COMMENCED! Feedback and suggestions General.

I know there are probably rules about what the community team is allowed to talk about, but I'd personally appreciate it if the community team could not act like they don't know what people are really saying in the forums.

For example, when you mentioned the zodiac weapon quest, you were very careful to dodge the subject of atma. You could have at least acknowledged that you guys hear us but you can't say whether or not fixes are in the works. We know that you know what goes on in the forums, so don't act like you don't know. It just makes you seem either insincere or ignorant, which I'm sure the community team is neither.

Also, I like that the devs are going over the topics in the dev tracker, but don't just repeat what was already posted. You guys should do something like maybe look through the responses in the thread after the dev post was made and then respond to some of the posts with information you guys have. A lot of times things get lost in translation and people aren't sure what you were talking about so people have questions or comments about what the devs actually said. So responding to those kinds of things would be nice.

Personally overall it seemed like you guys were just afraid to say anything because you might get fired for saying something you're not supposed to say lol. I'm sure you were nervous being live to the world and everything too, but try to lighten up a little next time.

They probably know a lot more than most of us think they know, So yeah they might be afraid to slip up and get fired (Atma Quest). Other than that I think they did a really good job and can't wait to see more. I really like the live letters from Yoshida and this is pretty close, Just without new info.

Well if they explain the niconico it's a great help and if they give sneak peeks would be awesome as well.

The events they'll be house will have rewards so that's pretty cool too.

Though personally I think they just aren't used to this and aren't prepared due to that lack of experience. So they'll get better over time and it will feel more natural as it goes on. I remember a youtube video blog that went through that transition. Real stiff the first 5-10 videos then it wasn't as tense and got more lively.

You know, something tells me they don't really know that much more than we do. I mean, obviously they get given the latest news first, but I just feel that they are merely representatives of the English-Speaking community. When you guys ask a question, it's up to them to take that question, ask the developers directly, and then operate on that information. That could also be why a lot of peoples' questions here go unanswered. While Yoshida and others can address the Japanese community comfortably whenever they like, they can't do that so easily with the US community, so the Community Reps act as middle men for communications, which is essentially what the job of any representative is.

I'm not bashing on the Community Reps at all. I think they are awesome at what they do and, with this, this is just a brand new thing and there will be a lot of growing pains until they get used to the process, just like with anything. I just seriously doubt they know so much more than we do.

I'm watching the video on youtube & I'm glad they're using this as another avenue to reach the players... but is it just me or is there some tension between them all? I doubt they'd admit anything publicly. Their banter towards each other comes off a little snide & snarky... but I guess they could be trying to be funny? /shrug

I don't like to assume but I can think of various reasons that just boil down to careful translation and strict management because they don't have that same authority as the director. Them some waters to be threaded lightly I presume.

Well it isn't really their job. So I'm assuming that the tension and awkwardness is a just based on lack of experience, hopefully.
