This thread was a complete waste other than to point out that people are extremely impatient and can't simply wait for things that are already planned for implementation.

Where you see waste i see players expressing and emphasizing their desire for greater availability of a game feature in a whimsical and amusing fashion.
Silly? Yes. Unnecessary? Perhaps. Heartfelt? Also yes.

That was my exact point.

It was silly, and pointless. Whether it was 'heart-felt' or not, it showed peoples impatience for something that was already going to be added in a matter of weeks.
