Marriage is bad enough in real life why would someone want to get married in a MMO?
It's a ridiculous thing that debs always end up being pressured to put into their games.
Where is the divorce mechanic where your partner gets half your stuff and every time you make some Gil in a dungeon or through the market a percentage goes to them?

Whenever I see a "marriage" in a MMO I assume both players are female.

Assumptions are not absolutes.

Yeah, as a male I spent hours looking at groom magazines with my friends and talking about how much I was looking forward to my wedding day. Oh wait, I had that type of discussion with my friends about.... Never.

Marriage in MMOs seems to be all about the ceremony (dress, tux, flowers, words spoken), which IMO, is a more of a female fantasy.

The percentage of males, outside of hardcore RPers, that are interested in MMO marriage is very small. Therefore my assumption that the parties are two females.

The percentage of females interested in dancing naked in the middle of a crowded area is small. Therefore I assume the naked female is a male.
