well i have the ring now, so i can mark it off the checklist. the chest i have seen several places is one of the three priority pieces. shield debatably being the other.
i will start working back up towards the shield. if it looks like i may be close to getting the zodiac upgrade, then i will keep saving for the chest. if not i may go ahead and get the shield.
i still have not done Coil at all, or some of the extremes. ilvl hit 78 last night.
just been running roulettes and CT so far.

I would try T1 for the feet and neck(?) as they give acc and parry and will boos your iLvl. Don't be afraid to try T1 or T2. You may also get the shield from T1 so it might help you put off getting the shield while you parade other pieces.

are the randoms generally pretty good? i dont have a static. my FC is too small and made of mostly new people.
the randoms i get for CT are successful...but its weird. every time it seems there are two strong groups and one completely sucky ass group.
last one i was in was so bad that the both tanks from my group had to tank behemoth (not advised), but it worked. I tanked KB and the other tank got the adds.
all the other people who wanted to tank it kept eating meteors to the face. i prefer to click towers for the rest, but i volunteered. win. got tired of dieing.

well, I have never been in a static, pugged t1-4 without any problems pre echo buff. First time most people did T1 was when they were Full Darklight/ Relic +1. 10% buff to everyone with serious nerfs to key mechanics like High Voltage make T1 seriously way to easy. You will get groups that fail, to be sure, but as a tank you just gotta deal with it. either take the 30 minute penalty or vote abandon and get an instant que. The only things you need to be able to do in T1 now are dodge AoEs and establish where to pull the boss upon splitting. Its really easy now, and gives you good tanning gear (body, shield, boots, and 1 accessory which I can't remember).

Trust me, just queue and get your gear.

520 is pretty easy to get for accuracy even without a shield with acc on it. seeing as u can always use food for acc if u cant reach the cap

weather noct sheild/ hq version is a really awsome upgrade to your pld. while many people might prefer a buckler type like wave shield, i personly prefer tower shield over them, even more than kite shields. you ask why?

    my reasons:

1- block is calculated before parry, meaning you get less use of your parry stat with a buckler type shield
2- buckler shields block around 20% of incoming dmg, while a simple parry mitigates 24%
3-bulwark will become an amazing buff because blocking will reduce 38-40% dmg *depend on hq or nq*

    Ba3oo,
the first reason only work if you stack parry, which i'm not. I'm currently stacking Acc > DeT & Crit > parry.
so buckler type is perfect for me. in addition, buckler shield allow you to use more shield swipe, so a bit more damage overall and better TP management.

to me Bulwak is not that useful as it only work with physical damage and it got 3 min CD.

It is not really worth it cuz u get high allegan shield in t8, which is fairly straightforward. i100 levi should tide u over till then. Animus is too much grind for me so nthx.

wont argue that high allagan is BiS, but to many its probably its far away for them to get, ( still at around 30% T8hp so not too far hopfuly )

i totaly agree with you, if your not stacking parry then you will probably get more out of a buckler type shield.... but whether to stack parry or some other stat .. thats a totaly diffrent topi lol

as for running out of TP... i do coil up to t8, and never had i issues with TP (i never swipe even when it procs) cause i dont want to risk losing hate.. beside swiping is not very helpful since the debuff dont hit any major bosses.... only T5 after Dreadnight phase cause i would have used up most of my TP stunning... but even then by the time i need TP boss would die... most other fights there is always time to regan TP
