Funny thing about that picture is that one of the trails did make you kill Pandemonium Warden 150 times to get the glow effect on mythic weapons.

Yeah its very thought out, complex, and very challenging. I loved these trials, and myself was an Almace wielder in my FFXI days, But lets be honest... If this type of trial was release, the masses will have 3 to 600 pages complaining about NM camping and all sorts of complaining. I mean there would be so much complaining the threads would no longer work!!! LMAOI think this would be an awesome system to add to XIV that is currently in XI. The atma weapons are similar though, this system allowed you to customize the weapon how you wanted and by your playstyle, those who played XI will know what I'm talking about, but if ya don't heres a link.

Here's an example of trials for just one of the weapons of many.

Yoshi P might as well drive to everyone's house and gather everyone's thoughts before he releases something with the way people act around here. The way some people talk in this forum you would think they own 100,000 shares of Square enix stock, and need to be consulted before anything is release in subsequent board meetings!! LMAO
Do you ever stop to think of what you are doing to this man's creativity? Not to say that the Zodiac quest was very creative, but let's put yourself in his shoes for a moment... If you were the creator of the game, and every time you thought you had a great idea, lots of people in the thread shitted on it and complained. Every time you do this or do that, many people complain. Wouldn't you start second guessing yourself? Every idea that you came up with in the future damn near wouldn't even be your idea because in the back of your head you remember the backlashes that came with the previous idea, slowly molding your idea's into easier and easier, and less time consuming content till you found yourself releasing stuff that you thought about it, but changed it 3 to 4 times to insure you don't make people mad.
After a while if everything was so fast, and nothing took time, I mean, damn... This is a game that's suppose to last 10 years, and I forgive some because for some this is their first MMO. But man, let the man create something from a vision he has. Don't beat the man up every corner, and new idea you here implemented into the game. Give the man Yoshi P some breathing room. LOL For every idea you crash and burn, could be linked to 3 to 6 other ideas that were planned for the future, or even the first expansion. I for one don't want everything handed to me in 2 days time.

It is not, for Mythic weapons you need 3 items which drop from Pandemonium Warden to turn it into a level 99 weapon.
Pandy drops 1 guaranteed but has a chance to drop 2, I have never seen him drop 2 however. Even with our thief back in the day capping TH on him every time we fought him.
After upgrading to level 99 however you have the option of giving your weapon an "Afterglow", this does not do anything with the weapon directly but performing your weapon's exclusive weaponskill gives you an aura which raises a certain stat to any partymember standing close enough to you for a short duration but not to yourself.
See: http://wiki.bluegartr.com/bg/Afterglow
This requires 150 of said item for the Mythic weapon, due to the exhorbitant requirement and the minimal benefits this is considered as a novelty thing by most people however.

The best part about XI is that the stories you hear about the horrible sadistic things that people had to do for progression is never ever a joke.
Actually I guess the joke is that some of them want to do it again.

Every time I hear things about XI, it's a coinflip - you either land on "Okay, that sounds really amazing and I wish I hadn't been trying to get into it four years too late"... or "Are you kidding me that's freaking absurd".
But wow I think this one takes the cake, even if it's basically a novelty nobody was genuinely expected to have.
