i killed serket during the that time and i sold claws for as much as i could get for it gil sellers will aways be around and keep loading the server with gil . The reason why inflation happened is because rmts had so much gil they sold for low prices and people who didnt want to work for it would buy the gil and HNMLS would sell items for high prices

I thought it was fun times, it was like a challenge, though some RMT were using warp claim bots or something I caught the Jerrys doing it on Bismarck, the redapples also but if you beat their hacks they would blow up your tells.

The way I see it is this:

If only a select few items are untradeable (FFXI pre-abyssea), every item you buy retains it's value and can be considered an investment. People with a limited gil supply will be more willing to part with their gil because the item they are buying will have resale value. Depending on how much of a demand there is for the items, this type of system could make the most dynamic economy. People aren't either buyers or sellers, they are both. There are, of course, huge possible downsides of market flooding and that is where careful balancing would come into play.

On the other hand, you can have a market with only a few tradeable items with no resale value. People who don't have much gil are less willing to make big purchases because there is free gear (that needs to be earned) of equal stat value. The market is split between buyers and sellers. The major downside of this system is it could possibly create a market full of sellers with very few buyers. This would also cause market flooding, of course, but it would be harder to balance without creating inflation along side the flooding.

Let's look at what would happen if crafted gear was resellable after use:

    1. Player puts gear he no longer needs on marketboard.
    2. RMT uses absurd amounts of gil gained illegally to buyout that market. (It could already be happening but read on)
    3. RMT now sells the items on marketboatd again, for lower prices. (Why? So that some of their other accounts can make it seem like the purchase was legit)
    4. Legit players buy gear that RMT put up as there is no way to know seller is RMT.
    5. weeks/months down the road, original seller loses a chunk of gil as it was obtained illegally. Legit player who bought gear from RMT unknowingly put under investigation with possibility of losing gear along with gil spent on said gear.
    6. Alot less gil and gear than initially was in the market because SE was doing their job. RMT has last laugh with some gil-worthy items that were declared legit purchases which was bought with lesser amounts of legit gil.
    7. RMT then sells those items for large amounts of gil and now control the markets.

Spiritbonding has always been in games. However, unlike in most games, this game actually uses that to produce useful, sellable items, for the most part, called materia.

Now honestly, I do wish that certain items could be converted into materia, because they are otherwise considered worthless if they get even 1% of spiritbonding on them.

But really, that's literally the only way I see your solution being fixed, by allowing all tradeable gear to be convertible into materia once it reaches 100% spiritbond, not just the White and Pink items.

Yeah, I would have loved to have been able to sell all my melded vanya I made for myself after I was done with it. But all I could do was convert it. I did get some nice materia from it but /meh.

SE is not gonna change this. It's just the way it is. FFXI was a totally different game and gear had more value there. Alot of gear could be used for years. That's not how this game works though.

That i understand But yoshida Boast about listening to the community but which communities casuals i have met hate the way things are those that play more then 2-3 days a week and people who are hardcore plain dont like the state of the game . It is sad to see even me ranting and talking bad about the game I like others pre-ordered the first CE and disappointment 2.0 even more Disappointment . In September when Expansion comes out on the year anniversary of 2.0 launch will there be disappointment or Content that takes the the chains that bind us .\

***September Would be ideal time to release this expansion but could be this year or they could wait 2yrs but the time with patches 3.0 would be closer to that time if not this year the next after same month .

no, it would be terrible. Market would have a constant supply of all equips on a flood scale, and would kill off the crafter supplying the market fun I and many other players have. Also consider that the equip you are trying to sell would be swamped in competition since every other player will be selling his stuff too once he's done.

if you want gil just make a crafter. It's pathetically easy to 50 a crafter, and make millions per week. I'm not even talking about 3 star equip crafting, it really is that easy.
