It's been mentioned before, but the problem with just choosing NOT to do it is that when future content arrives, and then you can upgrade you relic weapon to the "Aether" and "Crystal" levels (those are made up names, NOT confirmed upgrades), those who never completed their Atma upgrades in the first place would then have even MORE work to do, possibly still based around an RNG. That will NOT be fun at all.

I too am not asking for a miracle fix, but purely from a customer satisfaction standpoint, it comes down to this: The FFXIV community is largely unhappy with the way the Atma upgrade system works. SE cannot afford to ignore that.

I have not bothered farming atma because well. im tired of the mmo games that you have to farm stuff to get gear. Reason I wanted to play ff14, because it was not going to be like ff11. ill just wait when they increase the drop rate or something because im not doing the run. I rather do my Lev weapons then farm fates.

I know some of our players have been looking forward to the continuation of the Zodiac Weapons quests that I mentioned in the recent letter LIVE, but the release of these new quests has been postponed. Our reasoning for this decision is, in brief:

• Many players still have yet to obtain an Animus weapon.
• We would like to incorporate feedback regarding the difficulty of the Zodiac Weapon quests.
• We are working to increase the number of locations where materials for the next upgrade can be obtained.

I apologize for the delay, but those of you looking to obtain the power of "Novus" will be able to do so in patch 2.28, scheduled to release in May.

first bullet confuses me, letter for 2.2 said not a lot of ppl would be done with animus by 2.25 release date, how can that be a point to postpone lol

Perhaps the number is far lower than they previously anticipated. Maybe they are taking everything into account from all the feedback people have given them and trying to find a middle ground for those still trying to obtain their first atmas due to crappy RNG, and making sure the next chain doesn't fall victim to the same reaction.

There are always going to be those players who blast through the content and put in lots of time to grind everything. No matter what developers do some people will never be satisfied. Its a balancing act and I think Yoshida and his team have been doing an admirable job so far. Delaying the new weapon chain just goes to show that they do listen and are taking everything we say into account. Just because YOU don't always get the results YOU want when YOU want them, doesn't mean they aren't listening.

AMEN. People just want stuff to get handed to them easily, ignoring as much of the hard work as possible.
IMO if you dont want to grind for animus go do Coils to get the better weapon and gears too, or is it that these people are incapable of doing endgame content that they troll the PD/DEVs just so that they can get handed a weapon that is not even higher(ilv) than SecondCoils
