    Yep, we try to play arm chair developer all the time but really in the end we can take educated guesses but we can't know 100% for sure without being there ourselves. Sometimes it's really surprising how different something is from what it seemed to be from the outside.

    FF14's failure was not because they wanted to step away from FF11. That in itself is a decent goal to have.

    FF14's failure was due to horribly inefficient development teams, a lack of decent management, an arrogance and complacency that their fanbase will eat up whatever schlock they can serve to them, and a misguided belief that they could release an incomplete game early and just fix it later with patches, as they admitted in this interview: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/final...and-sage-sundi

    I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!
