yes there is, animus was supose to be a time sink for the players who had been asking for a longer term goal.

in the end the majority didn't like this content and has been in a uproar. the whole thing was to test the waters on longer term goals which has failed it's something the player base has shown they do not want which is why it's being held back yoshi p is listening to his player base and they made their call based on it.

That makes me sad... that this is what they consider longer term goals - bad rng roadblocks. If this is their "version" of it, then yes it is awful.

Damn yo, you people are some gigantic babies. It's only been a bit over a month, and everyone is crying foul over the Atma quest. Yes RNG is terrible and the Atma quest should be fixed, but it's not so cringe worthy people should start insulting the man. Yoshi-P has been keeping his ears to the streets, so to speak. He wouldn't have let this nonsense go on long unchecked.

Uh, not really. You can release the next relic stage and then fix the first part in a later date (they do it all the time with other quests), instead of doing both later.
