As someone who had others patiently wait while I watched cutscenes, I agree with the suggestions.

I sincerely thank those that were in my run and did not complain and even helped me in my first runs.

In my entire experience, only one tank pulled when I was watching the cutscene and when the team wiped (I was healer), he was the one that apologised profusely and did not blame me and told me that it wasn't my fault when I apologized.

I was probably lucky to meet nice people because now that I am experienced and get runs with a new player, I see people feeling irritated and abusing those that watch cutscenes or mess up. Seriously, it is much nicer watching the cutscene as you progress the dungeon rather than watching it in the inn.

Re...really?!.... Yay. Nice to hear some people can have luck with their parties... ^^ I remember my first praetorium.... They threatened me, don't watch cutscenes or kick... And kick, kick happened. And everyone said "watch in the inn, bla bla bla" So I decided to do it like they said. But what they don't tell you is that there's a trick in the inn...

I got angry because when I searched for quests, The Ultima Weapon, in the first scene that appeared there was already that scene of Lahabrea already defeated... I couldn't search the other ones... It was months later. Only few days ago, that I noticed you could see them in Duty - The Praetorium, so, searching for the dungeon, not for the quest.

I guess I should've elaborated on that. first off, I didn't say there was actual mocking involved (emphasis on "as if"), but when I reviewed the chat logs after, one said "the cutscene was that long?" then a bunch of emotes like comfort to each other, pray, cheer on etc, the dancing was when I emerged. sorry if I didn't catch on to their sense of humor but they have been passive-agressive the whole time and this thread simply convinced me they were teabags.

My first run on praetorium I skipped Cs knowing people are impatient. As much as I'd have loved to Watch them. But our 2nd healer watched most of them So I started trying to wait for her. And of course people were being rude, not all of them, but a few. I didn't say anything. But she chimed in (since I was waiting for her) saying we could screw them over. I personally didn't say I would... But I won't say it didn't cross my mind. Dont screw with the healers lol

But yeah, it's. Unfair to the new players to force them to skip scenes. Make something that can be ether punishment t for the rude ones or reward for the patient ones

The only semi-work around is if your tank or heals and the other two or heals is on your side with it.

And these zones are run a lot for farming tomes (or at least were before 2.2).

I really fail to see how missing one person with the way people are geared today will make a fight take "forever".

Still say the easiest way to fix this is for SE to *FINALLY* allow people to run roulette in groups.

I'm sorry but SE should have left the cutscenes for outside dungeons only, having cutscenes inside dungeons in an online games (that are not boss appearance) is a bad game design IMO.

If they wanted cutscenes in a specific part of the fight they should have split the dungeon to a few like trials can be short so can some other story duties.

Forcing players to skip CS is wrong, and forcing players to sit and watch the walls while you watch your CS (and I read English slowly as it's not my first language) is also wrong. No one is right in this case. I also been new, everyone been new once. And I'd never tell randoms to sit and wait while I leisurly take my time reading, I'd either verify it's ok that I stay and read while they continue, or I'd skip and watch at the inn. We are playing with others and we have to be considerate.

And to all those saying new players don't know what PF is: Turn that argument to SE, it's not the player's fault that newcomers don't know about PF, it's SE's fault fro lack of guides and tips throughout the tutorial.

I agree that in most cases, having cutscenes during a dungeon is a terrible idea... but in Castrum Meridanum and Praetorium, they just wouldn't be the same story experience without them. The story builds up to these two dungeons as a whole, and the cutscenes that occur in them are tremendously important. I don't know of a single way they could have done these otherwise and still have such a dramatic affect.

Don't force people to skip cutscenes. If you're going to do main scenario roulette, you should know what you're getting into. If you don't have the time to allow people to enjoy the storyline, you shouldn't be doing these dungeons in the first place.

If lack of players does become widespread enough, then maybe SE can indeed add more incentives to do Main Scenario Roulette at cutscene pace. Until that happens, you shouldn't get mad at other players when you're the one who flips the board game.

The issue with cuutscene is that... people have different reading skill.

If you were a person, with an average language skill, you would go thru them pretty well, remember, most of the cut scene will ask you to prompt before moving on to the next "slide".. meaning, one person can stay in a a cutscene for ever.

When i run(used to) CM or Pratorium, i usually tell them 30 sec per scene, and im moving on. meaning, they can still watch the cutscene, just the they will miss out on the next fight if they are too slow.
