Why is this such a big issue for some people?
It's not like you get new players to a dungeon every time.
*shrugs*

Sorry but I would do exactly the same. I've ran praetorium too much and cutscene's have no place in a dungeon to begin with. The first time I ran the Praetorium I watched all the cutscenes. However, my party just ignored me and did all the bosses without me.
Every time I run the Praetorium I wait for the newcomers to watch the CS. My experience was ruined by a stupid party, but I'd like to believe that not everyone is like that.
blame SE for it , the idea of ending the game with 2 dungeons of 8 playerswith 20 CS that last 5 min ~~......wasnt a good idea tbh

Give the new players an option at the end of CM and Praetor:
"Would you like to give these experienced players an extra 30/40/50 myth?"
I would like to watch what happens.
Reminds me of a Preatorium run. Everybody has done the mission except a newbie that said he was new. Everybody was tolerant of him watching the CS except one guy that was starting to be more and more abusive.
After a while, everybody was asking him to shut up and as he was not complying, he was kicked right before the last boss.

this thread confirms that 2 nights ago I was grouped by DF with a bunch of teabags. I, as a new player, wasn't aware that there's a stigma like this. all I remember was after the CS was done I see the rest of the party dancing as if to mock me for finally joining them. even though I play on PC I use the controller, so I don't type when I don't think it's important. basically, I didn't say a word, just continued on with the boss fight, and when it's done I said my thanks then left.
now, having played MMOs for 11 years I'm not new to this kind of teabaggery among players. but what I find laughable about these teabags is the fact that even if I'm new to this game, I KNEW about the GENERAL UNDERSTANDING in MMOs that joining a PUG means LOWERED EXPECTATIONS. if anyone had the patience to wait for a random party in DF why be an a$s and expect the other members to read your mind and speed run it when clearly there were no rules set for the grouping from the beginning.
but I also believe that this goes both ways. as a newb, please extend the common courtesy of informing your party that you're unfamiliar with the dungeon and might need guidance. and as the more experienced player, please do return the courtesy and say something if you're not planning on keeping the party alive. playing in an MMO means we're all expected to contribute to some sort of TEAMWORK as least once. and if anyone has learned anything from their lab classes or group term papers, teamwork involves plenty of COMMUNICATION.
so back on the OP's proposal, would I agree that people who were patient enough to newbs who watch CS be given some sort of reward? no. what it takes to lessen if not eliminate altogether discrimination against newbs in this game is basic human decency. gamers don't need a medal for this. I do agree that the CS are not exactly engaging enough which makes them painfully long for many players, but if we expect to treat each other nicely because there's a reward, then what happens if there's none?

This a suggested solution SE can implement.
Problem: Too many new player are being harassed and forced to skip cutscenes.
Solution: When a new player is playing a dungeon for the first time and queued using the duty finder, no cutscene skipping will be allowed for anyone, in exchange rewards are increased 10% for the all the other players except the new player.
This should be easily implemented and the new players won't have to feel like that they are being harassed.
So like at Castrum Meridianum, the old timers will get 110 tomestones instead of 100, to make up for the little bit of lost time for the cutscenes.
Hi, Foo01-san.
I'm just a happy noob, at least happy after seeing that you care about the new people and those who like and are in their damn right of seeing cutscenes in Praetorium and Castrum Meridianum...
To be honest, I have not read all the replies of this thread, only your post and the following reply was something like "Make a party with cutscenes in party finder". Only by that I decided to skip comments as they skip cutscenes, because, probably there won't be anything worth of see if they start with "Make a party finder"
Seriously. Who would join to a party finder with cutscenes? Why would a player have to wait 3 hours for entering there? Why would a player need to frustrate so much and take the nuisance of making a party in party finder and pray someone would be good guy and join?... Those two dungeons are epic and watching the cutscenes in the inn IS NOT the same...
Saying this. I think your idea of rewarding like that is a good idea for fighting that injustice, I support 100% your idea, but probably we will need more than that for make super elite pros that like to rush change of idea.
I hope a dev will check the topic.
PS: We can always have the typical anti-rushers trolling behavior... Personally, I don't mind doing it when I notice rushers. When the typical DPS that come to brayflox in a premade doing super rush want me to avoid just three mobs... I feel like... "Really? are you super pro so pathetic that you fear three raptors dinosaurs?... Okay, let's go, we are going to take... "THE NINE!"
People in this game should have more patience... And don't tell me it is a "We don't have time" issue. I only have a few hours during the week for playing, full time in weekend, that's right, but almost nothing during the week, and I still being patient and doing the things calm, enjoying the game, because, that's how it should be, you know?
I'll go /mandervilledance whenever I have to wait because I'm a Lalafell and I'm cute.
