2.25 in 9 days or less. Animus weapon owners, are you excited?

Would be interesting if Sphere scrolls could be obtained from those "crud" chest in dungeons. Maybe what they can go for is something like you need the following orbs. Which could be found in one of three manners Dungeons, Open world, Leves

Beast orb: Dungeons:Defeating random target in following locations: Copperbell mines, Stone Vigil, Cutter's Cry
Open World:Potential drop from Toadskin map
Leves:Potential reward from any leve completed in North Shroud


Glowing orb:Dungeons: Obtained from random chest in following dungeons: Halatali, Satasha, Haukke Manor
Open World: Chance to obtain from completing fetch quest FATEs
Leves:Potential reward from any Gridania GC leve

Dynamic Orb:Dungeons: Obtained from random boss in following dungeons: Aurum Vale, Darkhold, Brayflox Longstop
Open World: Chance to obtain from completing Beastmen daily quest
Leves: Potential Reward from completing Uld'ah grand company leves

If this is a concept they have in mind that would be neat, to offer a variety of ways to reach the same destination. With the above in terms of dungeons, it would encourage groups to kill all the mobs in hopes of getting the drop they want, or going through all the chest in hopes it is in one of them. If dungeons get dull then burn through leve charges and try your luck that way, and then of course if that fails give the open world a try.

While I was excited about the next stage, now known as Novus, I'm actually glad they postponed it.
Glad because it allows me to concentrate on other things for some time.

Just finished my Animus weapon last night, and was pretty excited to work on the next phase. This is quite a disappointment to me.

It's fine with me either way.

At my current rate I do 1 maybe 2 books per week, as I am just about done with my 4th book it'll be another 3 to 4 weeks before I see myself carrying an Animus.
I'm not in a hurry, especially since most of the content I still do does not require super duper high end weaponry or gear yet.
I must say that it actually pleases me to read that they are making different tasks for the upgrades instead of constantly having us do the same at each stage.

This. I'm 1 book away and wouldn't say I rushed it. just help the FC on dungeons and stuff. But now we need to wait another 4 weeks to even start the next quest. Let's just hope items to upgrade work individually and don't require winning loots against others. Also fu RNG drops...

A certain group of players complain that everyone has a relic and it is easy to obtain. They plead so it will be harder.
Square-Enix agrees.
Going from Zenith to Animus takes much more effort that people would rather invest that time on getting a Tidal Wave or Weathered weapon.

2.25 comes around. "Many players still have yet to obtain an Animus weapon."..."We ask that you wait just a little longer".

I did my part, many of us did. I got my Animus, many of us did. So our reward is that we have to wait for others now? That's a slap to the face.

I don't mind that it ended up getting delayed nor do I mind that I have to wait. Yet when the excuse for a delay like this is because others didn't wish to partake on the same equivalent grind and we have to potential wait for them to catch up then that is unfair, unjust, and unreasonable. Since the "Novus" upgrade could have been released and the Atma/Animus grind could have just been balanced by 2.28 instead which would have been much more fair approach to the situation.

Though the overall outcome it is still pretty laughable to me.

I understood it as "fewer than expected have progressed far enough" combined with the general complaints about the first stage.
Releasing the Novus stage without implementing feedback on current quests and taking into account that feedback for the next stage would have resulted in negativity that they don't want.

This is just sad about it being postponed. I mean really those reasons are so weak and hardly stand up, I mean didn't they expect not many people to have animus by then? So having that as one of the reasons for delaying is just stupid.

it more like they suppose to release 2.25 patch around May
but the negative feedback from atma quest and other detail in patch force them to make some quick "hotfix" and name it 2.25 instead

the timing of the fix seem legit, 3 - 4 days before they reach 1 month after patch (player who sub exactly when 2.2 hit will have time to see the change)
since the complain from atma is loudest, this one likely to be hit for sure

not sure about gating mechanic they place for leviatan EX and mirror drop rate
