Is there any trick to not get devoured without standing in the briar when the mark is on you?

Yes, move to the front of the boss then as soon as the mark fades from your character, move back behind him. The boss will no turn, and instead try to suck you in from where you where when the mark faded from your character, meanwhile, you will be safely behind the boss, stunned for 4 seconds, but you will not get eaten.

Not sure why you would not be DPS'ing even then tbh. Kill dat bee! Also, if you have a chain to someone who is slow to break, then you might have some dps downtime.

Dodge it similar to how you dodge Garuda's Slipstream.

What I actually meant is when you're the one needs to be devoured, during feeding time.
