I agree, my example was from FFXI exactly...but Shields...they do get hosed still.

I do like the idea of Vanity for SCH, and something else for warriors (Arm band Possibly?)

Just beef up the stats on some of the shields then. Nothing game breaking, just more to balance. Adding defense to a shield (don't see why this would be a problem, every mmo does it) would work out for plds.

That other slot is for your other hand. In this case, if you are wielding a 2-handed weapon, that weapon is taking up both hands. So they cannot hold another item there.

It simply doesn't make sense for one. Secondly, they COULD add something like others mentioned along the lines of grips for your 2-handed weapon...but if they do that they need to nerf the overall stats on your 2-handed item. Why? Because you already get boosted stats BECAUSE you don't have anything else in your off-hand.

@Rhysati - No nerfing, just thinking of fun things they can add. I also mentioned that they don't necessarily have to give a stat boost.

A simple vanity will do, but of course a boost in w/e stat would be nice

Your right the simple thing would be like a "BLANK" on the shield in order to keep things even...

Bards should get instruments for their offhand. Just seems weird that you learn a song in the low levels and when you use it, you just randomly have an instrument in your hands. Some could argue the relic is an instrument, but come on now.
