These forums have been full of "Give us more open world stuff. No more fates, give us real NMs!" So they tested it out with a springtime event and now people are complaining about getting exactly what they asked for. *le sigh*

I'm not one of those people lol.
The idea of having stuff "in the wild" is ok, but the predictable spawn spots + campers is what basically ruined and discouraged me from doing the egg hunt portion.

Well, there's a difference between having such rare spawns normally or having them for a seasonal event. While I don't think it should be easy I do believe they could have added more spawn locations and upped the rate at which they spawned by...well, a decent amount. Back on the rare spawn idea in general, I'd love to have a few of these out in the world. Maybe a few that require a group to defeat. There's just a time and place for it, and limited-time events aren't one of them, imo. Beyond that I loved the Hatching Tide quests and was glad that they required you to group up with others, giving the game a bit more of the MMO feel.
