I really enjoyed the quests, although I feel that you shouldn't be forced to party up with people on the same part of the quest as you are; it should just be anyone who wants to party up with you. There were a lot of people I noticed (myself included) who missed a part and waited 20+ minutes for a single person to party up with. It's not a major complaint, but it would certainly help out others who, for whatever reason, missed out sections of the quest line. I feel really bad for anyone who waited until now to do it... getting four people is gonna be pretty hard for them at this point.

As for the egg hunt, I enjoyed the initial hunt, but once I found all of the La Noscean Spriggan locations I would just make my rounds every few hours to see if someone took them out. I only encountered the free-for-all FATE once by pure luck, and it was really fun trying to get as many Spriggans with four other people competing for them. I've never seen the boss FATE, so I can't comment on it.

The Bronze Egg rewards were suitably okay, getting some low-tier materia, prisms, and bronze coins. I haven't opened any Silver, so I can't comment on those. The Gold rewards, from what I hear, were largely great, although I only ever got Platinum Allagan Pieces (10,000 gil at a vendor).

If I could suggest some changes, I'd like to see the egg hunt literally become an egg hunt. Throughout the map there would be eggs--maybe 30 or so--that respawn in random locations on each map, maybe every two hours or so. They wouldn't have a sparkle or any noticeable indicator, and they would be small to the point that you'd need to zoom in your camera to get a good look at one. The distribution would be something like 25 Bronze Eggs, 4 Silver Eggs, 1 Gold Egg. Keep the Spriggans, but have it so only a few spawn when all the eggs in a map are collected, give them absurdly high Evasion, and make it so they run about at a Sprint speed over the map. A little elaborate, yeah, but it'd be fun to see a bunch of players chasing after a Spriggan who keeps dodging every single attack, haha! They'd drop Silver Eggs, and if all of them are downed within, say, 10 minutes, the boss Spriggan will appear as a FATE and defeating him will net a Gold Egg.

The people you party up with don't need to be on the same part of the quest as you. The other people won't be able to see the quest but it doesn't matter. As long as you can talk to the npc who tells you where to go find the eggs and bring your own egg back, then you have satisfied the quest. On Malboro we regularly have people standing outside the amphitheatre offering to party up with anyone who needs it. I've done the 4th part like 10 times now.

Huh, then that makes absolutely no sense with the nature of the quest, but I won't complain since it resolves one of my issues. I could've sworn that the only way to turn the quest in was to have all of the eggs dropped off, then both players could turn it in.

All you need to have the other person wear the required hat for the current mission to start it up. For the 4-man one, as long as all 4 hats are worn, the mission can start and complete even if only one person needs to run it. My only issue with the event was it was difficult to figure out which hats needed to be worn for each part of it. The mission information said requisite hat and you had to read the mission txt to figure out who two you needed and the 4-man you had to guess that it needed all 4 hats (when you could guy 5 from the vendor) since it didn't say at all.

Well, if it's a quest with specific requirements you ought to be reading the text. Heck, if memory serves, each Dreamer you talk to will outright say which hats you need. Three out of the four quests I had a partner who ran directly into the Spriggans and I had to explain to them that we're trying to keep the eggs away from them. Not to go on a rant, but I don't understand people's distaste for reading quest text. Often enough the time one spends messing up a quest because they didn't read something is longer than if they'd just read the text to begin with.

Disliked. Did never find someone with the other hat. PFd for it but all who turned up did not know that they needed another hat so gave up on this quest... And the ones that did have another hat thought they could not do it with me because we did it from different cities and had different quests.

I really enjoyed this event. Teaming up with people to carry the eggs to destinations was fun and different and the prizes were also a lot more fun than usual with not knowing what your eggs contained, even if a lot of the goodies inside were very minor, it just made it more exciting. I want more events like this.
