Like 3 months + and realize it was a waste of time? I don't give the time of the day when people have FC fetishes.See that's the problem, if you don't invest social wise into an FC and hop, how can you ever become part of that community, people that FC hop all the time I don't give the time of day, because I know they are they type that when they need help, they have to have it now or they will leave.

Seems more your in the wrong FCs then, I've been in a total of 2, first one disbanded after FC leader quit the game and rest went to other FCs, and my current one which I absolutely love, their was no weird clique on rituals , everyone just got on, sure some people are close friends and acquaintances with others, but that's same as real life, their will always be some you get on better with than orhers
Maybe the problem is you not the FC's?
See, the way i went around it was get a couple linkshells but not join any random FC.
I waited a bit and see if any gave me that "that group is something for me" feeling. One did a month after i started playing. I made a application and now it feels like a second home.
Joining one of those ingame recruitment fc's is more then likely going to bite you back later.
same here. tho more ppl in my fc speak in fc chat. all have access to that.
some of us, like me, do not want to talk to ppl on vent for whatever reason i may have.
i hate feeling forced or outside my comfort zone. my fc doesnt do that but encourages me..i may someday. ^^;
also, this game is not very social friendly.
you have to be a in a fc coz most things do not require any talking in the game lol. u can essentially
run all content w/o talking. im very picky with fcs but i think i found my home one.
you just gotta hop around a bit and find one that suits you.![]()

Awww, OP needs friends.

Yes, hop into VOIP and talk to all the teenagers.. stoners.. or kids talking slowly and acting like stoners....
Be careful what you wish for....
Or maybe is this community? Never had these problems in my previous MMOs (Ragnarok Online, Everquest, Maple Story, etc.)Maybe the problem is you not the FC's?

It's partly to blame on how mmos are made mostly for casual people lately, so more people end up joining, which results in a lot of people who have never played a mmo before or are used to single player games. A lot of people these days play mmos as single player games that just happen to have people :/
Those types of people bug me :/ I've had a few who go "My old FC never talked" or something and they join mine. Well, mines a bit of a small/medium and it can get quiet, but we do talk a bunch. Yet the person who claimed their FC never talked, makes it sound like they want to join in conversations, yet they stay dead silent, then one day they're just gone.See that's the problem, if you don't invest social wise into an FC and hop, how can you ever become part of that community, people that FC hop all the time I don't give the time of day, because I know they are they type that when they need help, they have to have it now or they will leave.
Honestly, I've never been in a FC(or guild) that uses voice chat primarily. In fact, the overwhelming majority of people in any FC/guild I've ever been in has been people that DON'T want to use voice chat. Maybe it's because I tend to stick to roleplay guild, but that's been my findings.
In the end, you need to look for and find a guild that actually has a community and family feel to it. There's so many that just throw out random invites to people to bolster their membership numbers and couldn't care less about you. If you can't find one, make on yourself. Especially if you aren't doing roleplay or something to that effect that requires much more commitment.
Build a FC and advertise it as a place for the people that want a little family of friends to hang out with. You shouldn't have much trouble finding people. From there it's just a matter of making the group be the way you want. Be talkative, cheerful, and make a point to get to know everyone!
Definitely sounds like you are in the wrong FC.
My FC is very talkative and social c:
So.. I just recently started actively posting in forums.....
