Rift system is much better. The "Wardrobe" system has you simply build equipment sets which you can freely switch between (or no equipment set at all to look precisely as your gear presents you), and hence doesn't suffer from anything like this.

LOL @ "The system works perfectly." No, it really doesn't, or people wouldn't be complaining about this.

And yet it's been explained why they have to do it this way, and people refuse to accept it or they ignore it.It is terribly funny Malamasala how many games actually have already addressed this type of thing already and done so fairly easily. It's just an issue of a rushed vanity system that they didn't care about just like most of this game. From the first raid being non FCable(and full of crappy gear to boot) to the destruction of the usefulness of the crafts and the economy because the RMT might use it... Not sure how you guys can defend them. But again, thanks for giving me additional ammunition to use on my friend's demands I give it another chance.
System needs to get changed. I want to wear the Herklaedi full time.

In regards to everyone dissing on this guy, the system currently put in place technically DOES work perfectly; however, it doesn't work the way it NEEDS to work. You want to glamour this CT chest over this myth piece? WORKS FLAWLESSLY. Not allowing the ability to glamour the items put in the game merely for glamour(i.e. Odin armor) is purely on SE, not a fault of the system currently.
Please, do tell how this has anything to do with the PS3. I can hardly see the PS3 being a reason they couldn't implement glamouring a 4 piece armor over 4 separate pieces. PS3 can do T9, but can't handle a simple glamour mechanic? Yeah no. No logic there. It was just pure nonsense on Se's part for glamour.

Having an idea and actually implementing in programatically are 2 very different things. This would require the armor to be broken up not only graphically but in the code behind connecting it to the database. And in the database. I'm very certain they have considered the implications of this and realized that it simply isn't possible at the moment. Possibly down the line this will become an option, but for now that is a lot of man-hours for something like this.
It feels almost like they wanted to make a vanity system, managed to get it halfway done, and decided they couldn't waste any more time or money on it so they'd just patch it in half-finished and pretend like it works just fine.

I think you misunderstand how simplistic changing the code for this idea would actually be.Having an idea and actually implementing in programatically are 2 very different things. When implementation occurs:
IF "Herklaedi" is in Inventory
THEN SWITCH -> "Herklaedi Purchased" = ON
When at Calamity Salvager
IF SWITCH -> "Herklaedi Purchased" = ON
THEN WARESADD "Herklaedi Cuirass", "Herklaedi Gauntlets", "Herklaedi Greaves", "Herklaedi Sabatons", "Herklaedi"
Barring coding safeguards and complexities that Square-Enix wrote themselves into, it would essentially be that simple to include.
I'm not saying you'd have to physically break up the armor. Make the full armor accessible as normal, but allow the individual pieces to also be accessible. It seems like the most valid way possible of splitting up the armor without completely revamping the Item Redemption System to allow multiple items to be redeemed from vendors in a single transaction.
It does work perfectly.
Odin is event gear, currently it's the only other body piece that causes this issues besides;
Reindeer
Snowman
Darklight
Low Level Cowls
All of which aren't a big enough worry to invest time into allowing people to glamour Odin's pieces.
Besides the point however as they already confiremd that they're not changing it, so it's less of a white-knight and more of a "This is what you're getting, deal with it"
You miss out on one piece of event gear to glamour (after they said they refuse to change it), hardly warrants it's as broken.
Is it possible to add this?
Yes, very.
Are they going to?
Not likely, it's only a few pieces of gear among many.
Why?
They already said they're not going to change it.
Missing out on Odin gear doesn't mean the vanity system is broken per-say, it seems more a time consideration.
"Do we have time to fuss with the Multi-Slots Event Gear sets?
"Nope, there are higher priority concerns, let's move onto the next task"
Call it white-knighting, I'm just parroting what they've already said.
