The Tank Class is ridiculously under populated...

I'm trying to do Turn 4 of Bahamut & it's impossible to find a group. I main as a Warrior iLV90 but I'm currently playing my iLV78 White Mage trying to get Allagan Chest for it & Party Finder or Duty Finder, it's taking WAAYYY too long to find a Tank.

This is why I play Tank & I would play Tank to get my White Mage drops but obviously if a Healer NEEDS I'm SOL. So yeahh. What can SE do to fix the lack of Tanks? I feel like I'm an endangered species here.

The ratio of DPS & Healer to Tank is staggering. I'm in Adamantoise NA by the way.

You got that right left a party because a summoner in the DF party didn't comprehend switch summons(He was using Titan) or I leave and I just left because I'm not going to deal with bouncing enemies all over the place. Some people just don't understand that the tanking job has lots of stress associated with it and we really don't need the extra added crap from players that can't play the game properly or are trolling just to piss off the tank.

That and the fact that, because many players don't like playing tanks, most tanks already have most of the equipment that drops from T4 and don't need it anymore.
And you can always have some **** in a greed party who uses need instead, then leaves.

Btw. some of the tanks I had in Coil and dungeon runs...just wow.
I wonder how they managed to even get there.
I remember a tank with Allagan Blade who was unable to silence ADS in T1, and lost hate on Caduceus.
Another overequipped tank couldn't handle Titan HM, or how about a tank who turns the boss into the group and kills the healers?

Part of an MMO skill is to mingle with a group of people you can do stuff with. Make a linkshell, inv people you think are capable of farming Coil 1-5. Before you know it, you'll have a solid group who'll farm stuff in every patch that comes out.

I wonder why people always assume that developers need to make things happen all the time.

first of all, t4 was never ever a tank boss at all. early on we had to get through that part of coil. with 2.2 some freshmates needed a loot here and then, helped out friends or fc, did it for speed farm 200 full parties (acm inc). y in the world a new tank would do t4 now? y hand over your gaming experience to som1 else, who doesnt know is job (either healer or dps or 2nd tank). who the fak cares about the loot you might get at t4?

srlsy, before you start another QQ thread about the lack of tanks for t4 again. sit down, take a deep breath and think about it again. thanks to SE for the loottables, but actually no tank needs t4. no1.

What can SE do to fix the lack of Tanks?

Considering that everybody has to the potential to be a tank (actual skill level not included), isn't more of the players' responsibility to "fix" the lack of tanks? I would never run DF or PF as a tank given past experiences (such as the time the melee dps in Garuda Ex yelled at me for not stunning Whicked Wheel). What I do is get some people for my FC that can clear the content I want to do, and run the crap out of it until we hopefully get all we want out of it. Or I will wait until my Coil static meets and try to talk them into it for a while.

Again, a player base issue, especially in a game were we can literally be any job we want with the press of a button.
