Atmas and myth books should be tradable

I wouldn't mind Atma being tradeable. Really though, I just want some sort of way that I can help out friends that haven't been able to get their drops yet. Being able to trade them means that a FC party can farm for a while and if they get a drop, pass it on to the person that needs it. But if there was some other mechanism in place that gives a benefit for helping those that need atma then I'd be fine with that as well.

Why not make it so more people partied with you with Atma weapons increases the drop rate or something? I know people will start whoring themselves out if that was the case but it would help out some groups that have those random 1-2 members that take several hours between drops.

Wow, you're an incredibly rude person to everyone who doesn't agree with you. Who says that your skill for playing the game is more worthy of recognition than the patience of someone else who works for their atma?

Atma farming is only a waste of time if you don't want to do it. If the grind is too intense for you, go somewhere else. Don't attack other people's leisurely pleasures by telling them they are wasting their time, or that what they are doing takes no skill. Skill is inter-subjective. If fate grinding is a person's goal, they are demonstrating their own skill—not your biased definition of what constitutes an "achievement" or actual "skill."

FYI Relic weapons are always part of the story line. It is related to the lore of your job, and can only be equipped by your job, not the base class. Furthermore, Yoshida says it will be upgradable in future patches.

I'm sorry to say, Atma and Animus isn't really about skill nor waste of time. I could have said farming mirrors for Levi EX weapon is a complete waste of time because I see more people with Animus than Tidal weapon (tbh, mirror drop rate sucks more than Atma). Future patches where Animus is being upgraded, your Tidal weapon immediately becomes outdated, period. Sure, Levi EX takes skill to clear but getting mirror is a grind job, as much as Animus. 10% skill required to clear, 90% grind and fight against RNG which is the same as the Animus quest.


Looking at the above, Tidal weapon is in fact, the worse of the "waste of time" if you want to put it. Relic will be relevant in future patches, Tidal would not. Relic is part of the story and your job, Tidal is not. And being Final Fantasy and MMORPG, it is only normal that people would obtain it

Am I to assume you and others of your type will be assisting people through EM Titan (remember him?) and Twintania in order for these folks to make these expeditions? Or am I to read that as a condescending "Let them eat cake" retort?

If that were to happen, we may as well take the time and effort out of Coil drops while we're at it, and just let people trade and sell those, too. Hell, let's just give everything away on a silver platter so no one has to invest any time or effort into getting anything, with the exception of farming tomes for purchasing all these items. Let's go even further and just have an endless number of gil and tomes waiting for us in our mailboxes so we don't even have to farm those in order to purchase all these items that take too much time and too much effort to get. That sure sounds like a fun game to play.

People should just stop pushing forth effort. Infact let's invent a "skillmometer" that you can shove somewhere to get a reading on your skill. If you have high enough skill, you just get full 150 ilvl gear and a moogle flying mount to hover above mor-dhona and laugh at the peasants who aren't on your level.

Sorry OP on your bad luck with atmas and your depressed view at the myth farming. It's because of this grind though that we actually have something in the game now that could possibly retain some sense of accomplishment for more than a month.

What fear? If you actually take the time and read posts without blinders. You would see that ppl are tired of Gil Buyers, typically players buying content clears due to lack of skill or items because they are too lazy to accomplish anything in this game.

I want interaction with players that don't cheat the system and learn to play, is that too much to ask for?

Not like this game has a healthy economy anyway, what's the worst thing they can do? Buy all Limsa beach houses?
