This... and hopefully they have learned their lesson in designing this stuff. The frequent and wordy cutscenes in Castrum/Prae have always interrupted the gameplay when a lot of stuff could have been done through in-battle dialog. Save the long scenes for the end of runs where people are free to leave.
The solution is a little check box next to "join in progress" that says "always skip cutscenes", which stops cutscenes from even loading.
People won't be complaining about watching scenes in the INN when they realize the unchecked wait time is 10 hours and the checked time is 5 minutes.
Would also help farm groups.
Do this.

Honestly, the story in the last dungeon is weak. I was set on watching all cutscenes as a healer, but since they start in the middle of the action, you kind of want to get back into the game quickly. Plus, the groups just continue anyway - and after watching the cutscenes (at the inn), I can see why.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but:
- You start in a highly fortified place, whack all the mobs a good one and turn of the alarm. No one suspects a thing.
- Suddenly, a huge robot drops in. Boss one starts, you destroy it. Cid comes in to help, even though he found it too risky at first.
- After destroying the generators to lower the shield (prompting virtually no action, even though huge sections of the fort blow up), you arrive at the final boss - the same who killed your friends with mere shots earlier in the story. She says "show me what you got", and is obliterated while everyone dances around her. The part where she says "I see..." as her suit explodes is almost comical.

I would like this, but that is because I do not want to run CM. That is the most horribly designed instance in any MMO I have ever played. Everytime it pops I cringle because I know I am in for 20-30 minutes of pure boredom.
Learn, explore, and think for yourself. Make your choices, take actions, and let yourself be free.
