I don't care about the extra work. I don't like Job specific gear, and this includes relics. Also when I say job specific people only think WAR vs PLD(And the others of course), they always forget something else. Plus using that example of WAR vs PLD, they honestly want the same stats in reality.

I play WHM and I prefer crit over deter but the lack of piety annoyed me, altho I also prefer them separated set just for vanity

ok was wonderin, and actually about pld/war yes they want parry and acc but thier 3rd benificial stat is diff, war would go for crit or skill speed (i dont know why skil sped was jus what a war friend said was gd) while plds det

i highly doubt that with the stats they are giving especially for tanks because they a really bad same for healers white mages were basically gimped out of det for crit on almost all the body gear

Because it sounds like a repeat of the Myth/Allagan for 2.0 where you simply had to balance between the two, full myth would completley useless on some classes (where as others it was fine).

yes i have takin them into account but the balance difference mainly for tanks is quite lopsided, all im askin for tanks is dnt mess with wht is broken if they kept the stats like they were in 2.1 i woud be quite happy as well i belive alot of ppl would, i mean go look up all the tank armor and u will see alot of trashy stats for one class but not the other, and the blancing will end up gimping the classes harshly

If your artifact+1 gear gave you all the beneficial stats you needed, no one would do coils. They would already have everything they need without having to raid.
While it may not match to have AF+1 and Allagan gear, the glamour system provides you with the alternative

This is pretty much the point I was getting at here.

You aren't going to get the most appropriate or beneficial gear without going into coil, that's just the way it goes even if it is heavily lopsided for some classes (it shuffles around a lot).

They do offer this, with the AF sets (which we're getting another of in 2.3)

But for now you'll have to mix-match, they're very aware of what they're doing in terms of shared gear sets.

I'm quite happy about the stats of the sets. I main BLM honestly and both SMN and BLM BiS is a mix of both and they usually don't share the same BiS. i do have to agree the tank gear stats tend to be silly.... Wave Battleaxe is the perfect example, crit and det. Gogo WAR DPS.
