for PLD shield also gets increased blocking abilities not just a direct stat upgrade, being able to block more often for a higher % reduction is good no matter how you look at it for a tank

This thread is silly. I'd much rather be able to get another, important piece of gear by throwing another mirror at it. You should be looking at it as a benefit. Meanwhile I get to only receive a Tidal Codex, upgrade it, and it's not even very good.

Yeah that's why I just give up on my WHM's Levi weapon and go for the Relic upgrade.
And if I'm lucky enough one day to get the mirror, I'll just use it for my SCH.

I play BLM main and mirror drop rate is so bad I've had no motivation to do the fight again since I got my weapon. Much rather farm the Myth to upgrade my atma, because that isn't RNG and I can see progress. A 2% drop rate from Leviathan lotting against 8 people could come on the first win or the thousandth, with 400 being the average. No thanks.

Technically the true fair thing would have been to make all 2-slot weapons cost 2 mirrors. This is why it was 3 mists for relic upgrade for most classes and 6 + 3 for PLD. It was the most fair approach to the zenith upgrade. Levi weapons should be no different.

Because grinding on a big mean sea monster god is more fun than grinding on level 7 fates. Or any level fates, because they suck. ; )
