How often do people actually clear Titan Extreme?

At this point, I barely log in anymore thanks to this fight. It's blocking me from other content and it feels like there's nothing I can really do about it.

And before you ask, no, it's not me. I know the whole rotation and I've made it past super bombs with both my Paladin and my Bard. It's rare that I ever get hit by anything avoidable any more.

The closest I've ever gotten was once when we got him down to maybe 10%. We had all magic users, so we were going to LB the second set of adds. Unfortunately, the off tank couldn't get aggro on the adds and the LB went off with the adds in the southern position (so the sludge stuff trapped us all when Landslide hit).

Yesterday night I was trying to run through before reset. It was me and another SCH who couldn't dodge to save his life. He insisted he could be as soon as the fight began he was plumed. Afterwards the group asked if I or he had a WHM, I don't have it lvl'd to 50 yet but the other SCH did. When he was asked to change his reply "it was only i90" and his SCH was i92. Boy did I laugh hard at that comment..

I know that feel. I feel like i learned the fight rather quickly, but it really requires everyone to be on the ball and not screw up. Someone always screws up.

Seriously though, it isn't that hard anymore. If you are on PS3, get a PS4 asap. It probably has the biggest hand in it your not downing it if you are a console player. If you are a PC player then I don't know what to tell you. There are plenty of groups on the party finder on my tiny little world that clears it. I hop in one every week. :/

Got all type of accessories dropped from Titan EX before 2.2. Farmed it weekly as well for Rowena's Token which I still have like 9 pcs extras atm.

It's not impossible. Heck I find Titan HM even harder than EX before, probably because in Titan HM, I don't have any idea about his skill at all.

I know that feel. I feel like i learned the fight rather quickly, but it really requires everyone to be on the ball and not screw up. Someone always screws up.

The biggest issues I've seen....

- Off tank not getting aggro on adds. I had one that would shield lob one and then shield lob the other. By the time he ran to the east side, they were all over the healer. I tried to tell him it's a lot easier if he fast blades Titan before they spawn and then Savage Blade the west add and RoH the East one. That at least normally ensures that they follow you into position so you can flash spam. But, he acted like he got offended by my giving advice.

- Landslide bating during bombs. I can't tell you how many promising groups had 3 to 4 people die right after heart thanks to not knowing hot to bait the landslide. They'll freak out when landslide hits and then end up running right into an exploding bomb.

- Not stacking for plumes. Yes, if you get hit, it's instant death thanks to the stacking, but as long as you know the rotation and you don't have lag issues, you shouldn't ever get hit in the first place. Unless of course people don't stack properly and you end up having to run through several lined up plumes due to people not stacking.

Honestly, what's messed up about this fight is that you literally need everyone the whole fight. In Titan HM, if you at least have the tank, one healer and one or two DPS, you can dodge and out last Titan after heart. In Extreme, if your DPS die, you won't down the gaolers or the gaols themselves fast enough and you wipe. having to have pretty much everyone alive the entire fight is what makes this fight so hard.

I started out really wanting the Dual Hakken and the Hellish Claws for when my Monk reaches cap (for vanity if not stats), but at this point, if I ever do clear this, I doubt I'll ever step foot inside again. Which is likely my current issue. The people that have cleared it have no use for it any more, so PF is full of people like me mixed with people that have zero clue what they're doing. They'll tell you that they know the fight, hoping to be carried through, but as I mentioned earlier, there simply is no carrying with this fight. If a tank goes down, you wipe. If more than 1 DPS goes down, you wipe, etc, etc.

I swear that fight is impossible. I've been trying for well over a month and no matter how high the ilvl requirement, no matter how "experienced" people claim to be I've never seen a group clear it. This is some serious bullshit.

If I'm with a farming party that knows what they're doing, we'll win 9/10 attempts (1/10 human error). If I'm just helping people out who still need to adjust to the fight, there will be wipes and many of them. As a Paladin, my biggest contribution is how well I get punched in the gut so I can't really assist with many other things as DPS get weight of landed and healers catch landslides to their frail supple bodies.

It takes time to beat Titan. Just keep at it, focus and keep calm.

Exactly. It's getting really frustrating to see people holding groups back, trying to leech off the others while insisting "we can do it u guise!" when they aren't pulling their share of the weight.

Stuff will only get harder, so you just gotta put the time into titan. That's all that can be said.

While other content are easier in lag, execution wise, Titan EX is a lightweight.

I say it's fairly easy in terms of pure mechanics. Ifrit EX is by far harder in areas other then lag.
