how you can report someone for harrassement, there is nothing written somewhere that you need to FINISH the dungeon, is there ?nothing forbids you to leave after the whatever boss you needed, or gear you wanted to receive, nothing forbids anyone to do this BUT integrity and education. Would you report someone for leaving ? there is no harrassement, and the reasons could be that he didnt feel he could make it or had to go or or or or.. filing a ticket for harrassement is a serious matter, that shouldnt be taken lightely I think people misuse it us alot.

Some dont care if they join a group and that they have a resposnability they are there for themselves and nothign else. Many like that, what can you do ? forget about them and move on. You earned some gils on the way, isnt a bad deal, you lost sometimes, but we lose so much more time already that one more or less isnt a big deal..

Two summoners finished Halatali normal mode, when healer and tank got their fix half way and left, it was hard but we made it, very rewarding and challenging indeed, still stupid to leave and drop your party members but people dont know you so they dont feel obligated.

The intent of the DF is to find a group and at least attempt to complete a dungeon. If a group of 3 ques and gets a random thats fine, however clicking the accept button on the DF prompt, is an agreement to attempt to finish a dungeon as intended. If after 2 bosses the group of three says we dont need the last boss only to as planned before hand, to vote abandon with the 3/4 vote. They have now canceled a dungeon for someone else while avoiding the lockout timer them selves.

Regardless of other players job, they waited a time in que as well as the time in the dungeon and now have to que and wait again. If the person is a dps the time can be extensive. That is intentionally wasting the time of another player in a game that they have to pay to be in. That is harassment pure and simple and I for one will take the time to fill out a harassment form every time.

except no. we are under no obligation to finish and clicking "enter" is not a binding agreement whatsoever. if 3 out of 4 people wish to abandon a dungeon, its not harassment. its definitely not nice, and it sucks when it happens. but there is no rule preventing it. if they use the vote abandon feature opposed to just leaving outright then they are in fact using the system as its intended. the only thing SE has stated is against the rules is abusing the vote kick feature, as in AFKing to get kicked or simply just asking the pt to kick you. as for the former tho i think they will be hard pressed to try to punish people for going AFK, the risk of hurting innocent players who legitimately have to AFK would be too great imo

im not defending the action, or saying its right. but reporting people for leaving a dungeon will get you approximately no where

There may be no binding agreement when you use the duty finder but there is a commonly acknowledged etiquette that if you're joining up you plan to complete the duty as it is stated in the finder. When you decide to join a duty purely with the intention of dropping out before it is completed you are inconveniencing other players either by making them wait for a replacement or by forcing them to abandon the entire endeavor and entirely wasting their time.

Vote abandon was not implemented so that you and a couple of friends could hijack the duty finder and turn it into a personal 2 boss speed run or whatever your heart desires. It was intended for groups which were unable to complete a duty due to insufficient skill or equipment and didn't want to punish themselves or others by forcing one person to take the 30 minute penalty and letting the others off to instantly rejoin a new group.

I'm pretty sure SE has even acknowledged that the vote abandon feature is not meant to be something used repeatedly by a group because there should be a cooldown on how often any one person is allowed to initiate it. I know this cooldown limit exists for kicking players from an instance. Neither of these features was meant to be used run after run but rather in dire circumstances.

We just give informations to SE that "someone" may be harassing or abusing the system!
They have to look into it and judge if it was abuse/harassment or not.

You miss out one important point: How often does the player do it?
You see, it is not the legitim "leaving", but the strange behavior that is rising lately...

Its not about not finishing the dungeon, its wanted to be kicked to avoid penalty and being a leecher.
