So this is more of a skill check than gear check?

I'm awaiting them to upload the kill video and when they downed T5 it wasn't legit due to a bug or so I've read on these forums. Still, good job BG!
A lot of their gear is fully melded i90 apparently, they're very well geared.Kind of disappointed that this was finished with a group that couldn't have an average iLevel more than 95.
Still some gear check. Not sure about T9 but T8 is a large gear check. Current gear (even assuming you cleared T7 last week and have 2 UAT to date) will be tough on 4 DPS and quite some team have to play solo tank +5 DPS. But again still a lot more about skill in this coil installment.
I took a look at the spoiler and I'm paniking now when we face it...
There are still tons of people who have yet to down even Twintania, what's all this whining about?
Yo, folks complaining that the new content is too easy... I'm assuming you all have downed Turn 9 too, yeah?
....oh, you haven't? Then shut the f*** up
There is nothing wrong with an FC as dedicated as BG downing this early in the patch. Congrats BG!
The rains have ceased, and we have been graced with another beautiful day. But you are not here to see it..
Are people really surprised with the lack of gear check? That first T5 kill video had i70-80 geared folks in it. It's the mechanics that seem not too challenging, which has caused it to be downed so quickly. I see those guys said that they could have downed it few days ago, but had technical issues. So when you consider that, the toughest fight in the game is beat roughly two weeks after release and we're stuck with it for 6 months! Don't worry about other FCs beating it. Once the mechanics get leaked, kills start flowing in which is what will happen now.
SE needs to re-evaluate their patch contents. I mean I have been saying this for a long time that one (real) raid simply isn't enough for six month gaps. On top of that, their future plans are very predictable now with this Coil > CT patch routine. Lets say, if they released two raids at once and the second required i100+ for entry, that would have made the progression last much longer. Instead , now that i100+ entry raid would be third Coil and in six months, everyone will be geared to the teeth to beat it again in two weeks. See where this is going...
If SE wants a proper gear check break point, they need larger raids. None of this 4 boss per Binding Coil nonsense. I'm hoping they improve upon that in the future. A good raid tier needs at least 8 fully fleshed out bosses, with the beef gate point being around 5 bosses in and the last being a true gear and skill check. Are people really surprised with the lack of gear check? The way I see it, T8 was supposed to be the 'gear check', but seems undertuned given the clears. Perhaps the Second Coil is in need of some rebalancing.
