It's a heck of a lot better than "not knowing" when you are going to get an Atma. At least everyone will have equals shots of getting an Atma after X amount of FATEs as to what we have now where 1 person can get it on 1 try and another person takes 100 tries or more.



And you've just hit upon why the "special snowflakes" don't want a progressive system like the one you've proposed.
I mean If you do say 300 FATES ( 25 FATEs per Atma) in total to get all 12 Atma, that's STILL a lengthy process for both hardcore and casuals.
I hate FATEs as the next person, but I rather know how many FATEs I need to do to be done with it.
Edit: if your a get all Atma Weapons kind of person, that's 2,700 FATES @.@.
