Playing PS3 and PS4

I have been on PS3 since Beta, and taken part in both PS4 betas.

I only have limited access to the PS4 - when no one else is using it or watching TV - but sole use of the PS3.

I want to be able to use both.
If I upgrade on early access do I lose my PS3 access?
How do I regain PS3 access?

Any suggestions please!
I don't want to upgrade and find I can no longer play on PS3 because that is where I have most time!

If you upgrade you loose access to your ps3 account. To play on your ps3 again you have to rebuy the ps3 version and activate it on your account. Either that or you could buy the ps4 version and skip the upgrade.^^

As long as you link your PS4 and your PS3 to the same service account, I highly doubt you would have to pay two subscriptions.

Alternatively, although maybe a bit more expensive, you could buy a Playstation Vita and use remote play to play it without need of a TV. The PS3 will soon be dead so selling it for a Vita would be a good choice imo.

Can you do remote play on a Vita if someone is playing another game on the console? Also, lol I don't think PS3 will be dead anytime soon. PS3 is 7yrs old and they only stopped selling the PS2 last year. Sony is pretty good about supporting old hardware, regardless of their stance on backwards compatibility.

Curious will SE make people using different stations reset their passwords each time they switch? Currently a password reset is required if you log in at a different IP or if your router IP changes. The Authenticator has been noted to alleviate that issue [like hell am i gonna pay for one].

PS: I still have my ps2 and ps3 AND THEY WILL NEVER DIE DAMMIT!!!!

Dead as in, most AAA titles will go next-gen only. There will be diluted versions of COD and Fifa every year I'm sure, but aside from The Last Guardian (which will most likely end up moving to PS4) and new a Assassin's Creed I'm not aware of anything else planned for the system. Vita is a great investment if he already has a PS4.
