Next time you go in there, watch the Illuminati Marksman. He will shoot you with a Pistol, then pull a knife and start stabbing, then periodically shoot people.

Now, I've noticed, in general, Humanoid enemies tend to use player Classes, with different skill names.
Now, given that any new Class/job related to Yugiri and Thancred is going to involve Knives, and we've been teased with Guns for who knows how long ... Perhaps the new class will be a Melee - Midrange DPS combining the knife and pistol? I'd be interested to see it, because i enjoyed greatly the Thief styles in GW2 that could do that.

there are also several human enemies with the title of "gunner" that dont use guns, this lead me to belive the decision to not put in MSK at launch was VERY last minute.

Confirmed would mean a solid, text and or visual/auditory confirmaiton that says "Musketeer IS being added"

Gear Design, NPCs, Quest-Text, Shape of the clouds in the sky, bears no relation to the actual developers confirmation that it's next.
