warrior vs pld for solo gameplay

I like Warrior, it's much more fun. Haven't played my PLD much sinc WAR hit 50. For soloing, drop Defiance since it reduces your damage. Ignore the threat skills and go down the Maim combo line (buffs your damage), finish with Storm's Eye first (reduces slashing resistance, further buffing your damage). Buther's Block is slightly higher damage than Storm's Path (by 10 pot), but SP reduces the enemies damage by 10% and heals you for 50% of the damage so I prefer that.
All in all, DPS is a lot better on WAR and you shouldn't have survival issues on any of the solo content. Plus chopping things up is so much fun =)

Only if you're fighting single enemies. If you're fighting multiple enemies, stay in Defiance for Steel Cyclone.

In a general sense, WAR is better for soloing since you bring legitimate self heals along with more ST *and* AoE damage so that you have less downtime and faster kills.

^ This. Thinking about it and I really cant think of any advantage that PLD has over WAR for Solo'ing. Outside of Mitigation, which isnt as important when solo'ing since mobs dont hit hard

WAR has better damage and more options for AoE (Maim, Internal, Berserk, Storm Eye, Vengeance, Overpower, Steel Cyclone) on 0 to Low Cooldown .

PLD only AoE Attacks are Flash which does no damage and Circle of Scorn which has a 25sec Cooldown.
