I've never tried to kick people because they were terribly executing their chosen job, but I won't lie and say there haven't been times that I've desperately wanted to.
Am I expected to keep chugging on with DPS that makes a dungeon take till there's ten minutes left in the run? Or a healer that consistently lets the Tank die? Or a Tank that cant hold enmity against a sneeze? I'm just supposed to bite the bullet instead of asking someone to leave or abandon if they can't do anything?
They're wasting massive amounts of other people's time by then, and I'm just supposed to keep coaching and talking us through something no matter how many times **** keeps hitting the fan?
I don't really care by this point to be honest, the Duty Finder crowd is already bad enough, I don't have to take twenty years to do something if I don't want to, most times I'll ask for someone to kick me, if it's really bad I'll just eat the penalty. But nowhere in this game does it say I have to keep trying with bad kids in dungeons. And since most Duty Finder crowds [B]would[B] kick someone if they took off the Echo buff because they didn't want it, then how does anyone do their Roulettes? I've tried three times myself and accomplished nothing in several tries today, the same will apply in Coil and a lot of other things because people don't have time to somehow be cognitively aware of every Free Company with trusted and capable people, it's easy enough to continue repeating that you should find a static group, but how many people manage to find one where someone wants to do something that they do?
You also misread my post, I never said that I would kick someone if they took off the Echo buff, I sure as hell know that it would probably be done to me though if I was in related content for it.
This brings me into my next tangent, people want more DPS where it matters so the content gets finished faster, if there's Echo buff in DF and PF(and correct me now if there isn't), then it's going to present all the time anyways? How can I say to someone "hey, I want to try and enjoy this content so I'm going to turn off the Echo buff okay?" One of a few things will happen:
1. I get kicked immediately for a reason I never learn of but know is crap.
2. Someone begins insulting me after that and says I should keep it on or GTFO.
3. I'm met with silence and the party is resenting me because I don't want everything made stupidly easy.
Everyone wines and dines about "not enugh DPS" all day every day, but now we're literally forced into the trend of having that buff present in EM fights and Coil phase 1, so how do we get away from all of those people who are going to cry that someone wants to play differently?
The answer is you don't, because then I'd be a hypocrite that's making the game harder because I want to play without it. So then I'm the ass in the party and I can't enjoy this content just because I don't get every gear drop that I want 24/7 like everyone else seems to be capable of.
There's no winning situation unless you're touched by Hydaleyn and have enough people willing to do all of this all the time willingly. Which gives us a very small margin of success at the end of it, and I of course pulled that speculative number out of my rear because everyone else I run across already does, how am I going to beat them if I don't join them?
