I think u fail to understand RNG is not time consuming its unfair... by its very nature its a chaos factor... meaning simply there is no rhyme or reason to the way it works. Chaos is a very horrible way to structure anything special something u want time gated...you all do realize that the atma questing is SUPPOSED to take longer to upgrade your weapon than anything else right? you are getting to do easy as hell content to get better gear if you can not complete the current content as is, or dont have the time to put into getting in static groups. Its been the same in damn near every MMO,
Easy content = longer to accomplish end goal if RNG is not in your favor.
Hard content = quicker return on time invested if RNG is in your favor.
If you guys are complaining about the drop rates i seriously suggest you stop playing MMOs altogether as this will only perturb you more and more as the additional quests are added for the animus weps.
Correct and who ever said beating Titan or any of the primals was easy yeah sure they are now and FC could make themselves Gil selling runs not that I agree with it but when housing became available I suddenly changed my view on the matter. Which brings me to the main reason I believe RNG is in place much like tax it hurts the rich man but unfortunately it hurts the poor man too. So they had time find a way to do this in such a way it would seem fair sadly RNG is the only option they thought would work but I personally would have been a lot happier with some type of weekly cap.
Compering this to a raid boss makes no since... There is no way you can train and learn to play better to beat a lotto system... I am up to 124 fates in one area trying to get a Atma to drop... most everyone I know is finshed.. I am only continuing to play because my time renewed. That was not the case I would move on .. I left GW2 because of the unreal zerg (fate) content with random rng.. The bottom line is RNG controls nothing its pure chaos... you might get lucky and roll a 5 or you may get lucky and roll a 12... there is no way to control the out come with out loading the dice. At this point I regret even buying the game which is sad and should tell SE there doing something wrong. Maybe its petty on my part but I never played any of the FF games this was my first and I was thinking about picking up the remastered FF that recently released but no more.
don't get discouraged at just 124 FATEs, my first atma took 45 hours, 4 hours more for my second, another 4 for my third, and today, I grinded 14 hours straight in upper La Noscea, only stopping to cook/eat dinner, and didn't get it yet. It sucks, but just keep at it <3
