No More Tanks for Garuda EX?

I have already completed all ex primal on DPS and if I would tank extreme I would probably just go and tank leviathan ex. To work towards my mount I just tank T1,T2 and T4, depending which turns I still need tank gear from.

Maybe they should add an extreme challenge reward for tanking in say… the form of 1 million gil for tanking X amount of EX Primals? Since people are always bitching about not having enough gil, maybe then they'd actually want to tank.

But of course, people would just complain that a reward like that would "break the market" and many other things. You just can't win with anything you do. ¬_¬

I think the nail has been hit on the head in previous posts. Most geared and experienced Tanks are done with Garuda, Titan and Ifrit now. The only reason I do any of the three now is to help out people in my FC, as I'm not overly fussed about the Mounts and I've got the Extreme Primal Weapon for all four of my classes I have at 50, with a set of Tokens to spare ready for a new Class or Job when it hits or I get bored and decide to finish Lancer or Thaumaturge.

I'd rather spend my time farming for better gear from Coil or Leviathan now. Or the eternal myth grind for the Atma Books >.>

Before we finally gathered a party in my fc I kept trying it in df and pf. Over 20 tries, more than half of them didn't even reach sisters. Only two successes. It's absolutely pointless to run it with randoms. Even with echo.

The way i see to solve this would be to keep the myth tome weekly lock at 450, so people will have months to work before they start EX primals.

I don't think this would solve the problem at all.

DF or even PF are not the best way for a difficult place. You need patience and wipe many times until you have practice, and it's difficult for a team of people who don't know each other. Ultima is not so difficult and there are also problems for PUG parties.

There is also new content and many other things to do. Probably with time and when they have done other things, people who have not yet done the primals will go and do them. Many good reasons have already been said too for the lack of tanks.

I think the biggest issue is most parties are doing this crazy need>greed system. The tanking ring isn't that great so why bother going if you can't even greed lot for your secondary class? It's not worth the waste of time.

i have my tank, but everybody ask for pro tanks and when i try to learn something they kick me when i do a mistake, so, i quited tanking, people dont understand that we need to learn first

And this is the mentality of things. This is part of WHY there aren't many tanks around. "Because it's not worth the waste of time." ¬_¬

Why not tank because you look fucking sweet and sexy with a big ass axe?

MT is usually the easy job is the OT that does all the work 90% of the time :P
