Currently, we see where the item sells and what the item is.
This isn't a solution but might help you out a little: Assign 3 of your 4 retainers to the different cities, one in each, then assign the last to whichever city out of the 3 you observe getting the most sales (for instance, if I put the same thing up for sale in all 3 cities for the same price, the one in Limsa tends to sell first, so I put my 3rd and 4th retainer both in Limsa, while 1st is in Gridania and 2nd is in Uldah, but your server may be different so check your own cities out first). By spreading your retainers out as much as possible, you can identify a fair number of sales by the city they're in, while also covering all of those who buy based on city rather than necessarily the cheapest price (due to inter city tax driving the price up).
Regarding the last 2 retainers being in the same city, it's helpful to go with themes you can easily remember, such as crafted things being on one and dungeon/map/etc drops being on the other, thus being able to identify the retainer by the item itself.
Alternatively, you could go with 4 themes, one for each retainer: consumables, gear, housing, random crafting mats, for example.
There are a few different ways to go about knowing which of your retainers sold the item. They aren't ideal (I do agree being able to see the actual name of the retainer who just sold your item would be very helpful) but they should keep your insanity at bay for at least a little while ;P
I didn't check to see if anyone previously asked, but now that we have a vanity system, how about more vanity gear? Dresses and sailor uniforms made of rare/expensive materials just aren't enough. And given that they're Level 1 items, why must they be only craftable by maxed level crafters? Glamours was my incentive to really get into crafting. It would be nice to have various types of vanities at varying levels for the sake of both crafting experience and further variation. Perhaps something like Snow's longcoat, but wearable by females too?
We got an answer about that in the french forum. they said they don't plan to do this for nowThis may have been mentioned before (not gonna read 184 pages) but any chance once soldiery tomes are capped they could roll over and become myth tomes? This would encourage people to actually finish instances instead of dropping out after the second boss since there's no reward for beating the 3rd.![]()
This would be great, but seeing as they seem to view the glamour/vanity system as a difficult, high-level-only gil-sink and not an easy, open system for all players to use... I doubt it's going to happen.I didn't check to see if anyone previously asked, but now that we have a vanity system, how about more vanity gear? Such a wasted opportunity. And not even an actual gil sink (as it just transfers money from player to player).
I was going to make a new thread about this, but that particular forum doesn't seem to get any responses and this thread does so...
Chocobo Companion:
Can we please have the Healer Companion AI fixed to include Summon/Scholar pets within the party?
I'd rather be in Zitah
I'd say that the addition of a paid service for additional retainers was probably the nail in the coffin of EVER seeing interaction with alts becoming a thing. Whatever your intentions are personally for interacting with your alts, the fact is the vast majority of folks would use that interactivity to use alts as mules to hold items and sell goods. Even folks that legitimately treat an alt as a seperate character that they level up and explore content with, they'll probably still use OTHER alts to sell goods and store items. Admittedly, alts can STILL be used to store items and sell goods - but it's currently awkward to do since you need the cooperation of another player to transfer goods and funds between your main and your alt.I agree, this is the most vitally needed enhancement, especially since SE is already charging us extra money for it. There's no excuse for why we can't interact with our own alts, at least through the mail. (Their excuse for why we can't mail to other players without friending them first is protection against RMT, but that concern doesn't apply to our own alts, so the rule shouldn't apply to them either.)
If SE is charging money for retainers, it means that they hope for people to pay for the service, and if alts are available that can serve the same function, that revenue goes right out the window.
Give us finally the option to scale the dialogue box. Having it so small is really unfortunate to us with smaller TVs.
